Beautiful,

This review is from: Minimalist Interiors (Paperback)
If you're looking for a clean, modern look for your home this is an excellent book. I bought it because I was remodeling my kitchen, living area and bathroom but didn't want a country look or something cluttered looking. The pictures really help you out especially if you don't have an "eye" for decorating. This book is a great value because it saved me a lot of time because I figured out what I wanted and liked first -- then I spent the money on home materials. In sum, this is a great book if you don't like the norm of what's currently out there in decorating.

The beautiful pictures are worth the price of the book. Yet in a way, the theme is about nothing - interior spaces stripped to essentials and lacking bright colors or complicated patterns. Spare spaces, just showing fundamentals, speak clearly over time. They remind us of the necessary elements, the near-perfect elements. While it's stimulating to visit somebody's personalized interior space, filled with memorabilia and contrasting artifacts, it is rare to experience the serentity and quiet confidence of a minimalist space. This book helps me treasure that.

I would suggest you skip this one...the binding fell apart and the text, and quite frankly the houses, are just not that interesting.
