4.0 out of 5 stars Too Analytical, April 3, 2003
By A Customer
This review is from: The Minimalist Vision of Transcendence: A Naturalist Philosophy of Religion (SUNY Series in Religious Studies) (Paperback)
Stone's proposed philosophy is that of a 'minimalist' which is posed as a viable alternative to what a lot of people believe are the only two options: overpromising theology and cynical skepticism.

The position taken is an example of the attitude of 'ontological reticence' which I praise. What I don't like is the the overly analytical character of the book.

Recommended.
