5.0 out of 5 stars Fun Bike!
We just bought our 10 yr old this bike for his birthday. As far as durability, it's only been a couple days he's ridden it, but it's very fast, I'm guessing at least 25 miles or more per hour. We raced down the street w/him riding the Razor Pocket Bike and me on the Honda Mimimoto, and I was far far ahead, both bikes were fully charged. I like this bike better than...

2.0 out of 5 stars Very nice looking bike. HORRIBLE post sales support.
After some in depth searching, I finally came across the "official" website for the MiniMoto Maxii 400 bike. It was not easy to find! Here is the link:

http://www.toyquest.com/minimoto1/maxii/index.html

The website looks pretty informative, with a listed 1-800 phone number and even a customer support email. Don't let that deceive you. Below...

5.0 out of 5 stars Fun Bike!, April 4, 2005

We just bought our 10 yr old this bike for his birthday. As far as durability, it's only been a couple days he's ridden it, but it's very fast, I'm guessing at least 25 miles or more per hour. We raced down the street w/him riding the Razor Pocket Bike and me on the Honda Mimimoto, and I was far far ahead, both bikes were fully charged. I like this bike better than the gas powered bikes because they don't sound like weed eaters cruising up and down the street. A few reviews mention how they slow down in grass, however the owners manual advises the following,
"...designed to run on clean, flat, dry, and hard surfaces by children over 10 years of age. It should not be used on gravel or grass."

This bike also has a storage area under the rear seat to carry small items. The manual also states on the front "up to 18 mph".

Our son rode all around our neighborhood and had plenty of charge and went plenty fast. I think this bike is perfect because it doesn't go too fast. He still enjoys the Razor Pocketbike, but he likes the size of this Honda much better, and now my 6 yr old can learn to ride the pocketbike. We purchased our Honda Minimoto at Sam's, and it came with a bonus, a matching helmet.

This bike meets and exceeds our expectations.

I have raced and ridden motorcycles for a long time. I purchased this item just to ride around on and I was shocked. It is a blast, and is pretty fast for an electric bike. I would recommend this bike to any parent wanting to introduce their children to motorcycles. Warning!!!!!! make sure you know how to ride a motorcycle before you ride this item!!! When you turn make sure you lean a little depending on the direction of the turn. GREAT PRODUCT HONDA!!!!!!!!!!!

My mother bought me one of the things and oh my god these things take you away. They have good acceleration but a excellent amount of speed. It starts off slow but after a few seconds full power kicks in.I think they are the fastest electric pocketbikes in the world. These can reach speeds of 18 mph, while others 15 mph. These go 10 mph in 2.3 seconds and 18 in about 3.8 seconds.Kids i think this is the first thing that should go on the holiday list.

5.0 out of 5 stars You have the wrong specs with the picture you show, December 3, 2004
= Durability:5.0 out of 5 stars  = Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars  = Educational:2.0 out of 5 stars

why do the specs for this bike on your web site, say 10 MPH....the box says 18MPH and 1/2 of the write in reviews say 20 MPH?
According to the toys box the "maxii" minimoto goes a max of 18 MPH and is for 14 and up.
The minimoto goes a max of 10 MPH and is for 10 and up.
You need to be clear about which one your selling here, the picture you show is the MAXI minimoto, the specs are NOT correct.
The difference between the 2 in price is $199. most places to $299. for the maxii most places.
I think you have the wrong specs listed with this bike. Your spec differ from the box.

This is a good present for your son/daughter. I've had one for almost a year and I love it! It is so durable and has a trunk, goes about 18-22 mph, key start, rear brakes, thick rubber tires, and fun to ride! I would recomend this to all my friends. One of them already has one and they love it too. If you want a good "toy" for the holidays this is the one!

The first day I had this bike i was amased how fast it went for an electric pocket bike. I weigh about 95lb and I went up to my sisters car and rode as fast as I could and on her car spedometer it read 20-25mph. Wow!!!!. This is my second year having this bike and it looks new and runs like new. It had no damage at all maybe a few sratches from doing burnouts but thats it. This bike is very durable. "do not go offroad" There are no shocks and it will leave bruises. I might only be 13 but i had a great time on this bike. Will buy one like it!!!!!!!!!!!

I find it hard to believe some of these reviews. My 8 year old wrecked his into my truck on the second day he had it. I simply called the number on the bike and got freindly and good service. The bike was easy to repair. As for the battery it lasts for about two days with on and off riding. My son weighs 68lbs.The bike is now six months old and works as good as new.I will look for other products from this manufacture. As for customer service I work for a company that sells forty different lines of equipment and only wish half their service was as great.

Below is my story:

I purchased the MiniMoto Maxii 400 bike about a week ago through Amazon (June 29th to be exact) and it arrived today (July 9th). The box was shipped in it's original retail box through UPS and as a result showed the typical wear/tear on the outside. Opening up the box, I was really amazed at how big the bike was as compared to a Razor Pocket bike.

The first thing I did after separating the bike from all the styrofoam packaging was hook the bike up to an outlet so it'll begin the recommended 12+ hour initial charge. As it was charging, I decided to call the 1-800 number to register my bike and get some information as to where I'll be able to buy various accessories for the bike (bike cover, lock, helmet..etc..) Sadly, I was not able to get ahold of anyone. When I called the number, I received a never ending BUSY signal!! I thought to myself, how many 1-800 number have I called in the past that had a busy signal on the other end? NONE!! I waited a few hours and tried againg, only to get the same BUSY signal.

Since I was not getting anywhere with the 1-800 number, I decided to email the customer support email address. Within seconds, I received an automatic email thanking me for contacting them and informing me that a rep will reply to my email shortly. Within 15 minutes, I received a response from their customer support informing me that I should look at Amazon to purchase my MiniMoto accessories. I searched on Amazon but was not able to find anything and so I replied back asking for some other recommendations. I did not get a reply back.

To me, more than 50% of a customer's satisfaction after purchasing any high value (over $200) product would be the post-sale support. This bike's manufacturer DOES NOT HAVE ANY!!

If you are deciding to get this bike, I highly recommending saving your money and getting something else. It's unbelievable how a company can survive without providing any customer service whatsoever!!!?????

This review is from: Minimoto Maxii 400 Electric Mini Motorcycle [Discontinued] (Toy)
I bought this bike for my 12 year old son on Xmas of 2005. Seems to work awesome. Almost nothing to put together, my kind of present!!! HOWEVER a part broke on the handlebar (his fault) and I am trying like heck to contact the manufacturer to find out where to get this fixed and THERE IS NO KNOWN PHONE # FOR THEM!!!!!!!! Amazon doesn't even have the # , they have an email (and we all know how that goes)...so I emailed and crossed my fingers.....waiting to hear!!!!! JUST FYI
