5.0 out of 5 stars A Great Resource for Anyone Who Works With People in Crisis, June 28, 2000
By A Customer
This review is from: The Minister as Crisis Counselor Revised Edition (Paperback)
The Minister as Crisis Counselor presents clear, practical information on different types of crises and how to intervene in a positive way that allows the person to survive, grow and maintain their personal autonomy. Included is a discussion of crisis theory, crisis counseling and crisis intervention. David Switzer emphasizes the unique opportunity the minister has to contribute to the mental and spritual health of their congregation. This book is written for ordained ministers; however, as a lay minister, I found that much of it applies to my work.
