4.0 out of 5 stars Pretty Good Compilation
I bought this CD set last year...when it was released...Well I would say it is one of the best compilations MOS USA has to offer...Disc 1 contains some of the best hits of the summer of 2005 which are "Listen To Your Heart" "Put 'Em High" "Star To Fall" "Feel The Vibe" "I See Girls" "Shivers" & "Sunrise"...pretty good tracks representing relatively good...

Only 4 good tracks out of 12 on disc 1, and only 2 on disc 2. The rest are either mediocre at best, or horrible club trash. The Armand Van Helden track, Into Your Eyes is easily the worst song I have ever heard in the history of dance music. I cannot even believe how he thinks it sounds good for the singer to sing that hideous chorus over and over about 80 times in the song.

As for the good tracks on disc 1, the first two are nice, with Reina's being the standout, and the last two are hot. The new DJ Sammy track on this disc is nothing special at all. It took him ages to finally come out with a new single and this is the best he can come up with?

There are probably 8 tracks or so that you can also find on 2 other boring club mixes released lately, Ultra Weekend, and Dance Mix 7. They all seem to scrape from the bottom of the barrel, and you might as well only get one of them, because you will repeating so many songs if you pick a 2nd one out of the 3.

The Cabin Crew remake of the 80's tune could have been good, had they not made the lyrics so repititious. Just because it worked for Eric Prydz doesn't mean you can take any catchy 80's track and just snip out the chorus and loop it over and over again.

Disc 2 is boring as hell, with only the Yuhan track remixed by Johnny Vicious and the last Tiesto track being standouts. Yet another Pump up the Jam remake, and I cringed when I saw it in the tracklising, but it's actually decent and better than half the tracks on here.

Not sure what's up with Johnny Vicious because his last mix CD was good and I saw him spin at a club last summer and he was great. He definitely didn't play this crap.

Disc 2 goes a little cheesey...i didn't like it at much...but some songs are pretty good such as "Pump Up The Jam" "Into Your Eyes" "Still Not Sorry" "Summer Moon" & "The Loves We Lost"...

I just think that the selection of songs is pretty good compared to what other ultrarecords CD's offer...

5.0 out of 5 stars Great compilation guys...!, September 10, 2005

Finally this series of compilations is out. I think it covers in a great way what's happening in the clubs where I DJ right now so I think a lot of clubber's will enjoy it. Check out the remixes of Armand van Helden's "Into your Eyes" and MYNT's "Still Not Sorry". Two tracks to keep your eyes on this autumn...

5.0 out of 5 stars One of the greatest dance comp's ever realeased by Ministry Of Sound/Ultra, November 25, 2005
This review is from: Ministry of Sound: Clubbers Guide 1 (Audio CD)
At first i thought it was bad when i saw the tracklisting. But somewhere along the way something inside me told me to get this album. I bought it and i didn't like it...I LOVED IT!!!. Both CD's have the best dance/trance/house/electronica of 2005 and is mixed by Johnny Vicious (Deeper & Harder, Ultra Dance Vol. 1&3 and Club Nation America). Here are the standouts(favorites)

of both discs:

Listen To Your Heart

One Word

Feel The Vibe

Don't Say You Love Me

Shivers

The Beast

Pump Up The Jam

Hola Hola Hola

Into Your Eyes

One Eye Shut

So Much Love To Give

In My Arms

The Loves We Lost.

The only song i didn't like was "do it 2 nite". the rest are good too. if you liked this then i would recommend Ultra Weekend and the new Ministry Of Sound Annual 2006.

5.0 out of 5 stars Hottest album of the summer, August 13, 2005
This review is from: Ministry of Sound: Clubbers Guide 1 (Audio CD)
This is the hottest club/dance CD I've heard all summer. I'm only on #4 of the 2nd CD and I'm love with it. The NEW best dance hits from around the world. Not some crap from back in '04. This is a MUST HAVE for anyone that wants to get pumped before you get to the club...or if you're having a party this is a great CD to put on and not worry about skipping over a bad track. Thank me later ladies and gents.
