This review is from: Ministry of Sound: Sessions V.5 - mixed by Masters at Work (Audio CD)
I agree with "rjaxx", just buy the cd 'cause it doesn't disappoint. I too bought this in '95. Looking back, '95 was one of the best years for house music, especially if you were in England, as I was. There are the classic cuts that stand the test of time: "Deliver Me"(which will be re-released on vinyl soon), "A Feeling", and a personal favorite "Get Up Off Me" -- I especially liked the "Masters At Work" vocal promo mixed into the track!

Disc 2 is Killer, Disc 1 ?, January 11, 2008
This review is from: Ministry of Sound: Sessions V.5 - mixed by Masters at Work (Audio CD)
Disc 2 is just about the best Masters at Work mix as you will ever find from mid 90's period when MAW were ruling the dance floors. India features strong with the classic 'I can't get no sleep', random improvisational vocal accapella's, and a rare take on Tito Puente's 'Oye Como Va'. Other signature MAW beats and rhythms are sprinkled throughout a set of truly classic house tracks, some with excellent vocal performances and tight grooves throughout - all expertly mixed. Ten+ years later this mix still holds up as a true classic of the period. BEWARE: I bought this mix several years ago and even though disc 1 was labeled correctly it contained an entirely different Ministry of Sound mix - mixed by someone else NOT MASTERS AT WORK. At the time I returned it only to encounter the same problem. An unfortunate oversight, but since disc 2 was so good I just kept it as it was. Recently, I found a used copy hoping to get the Disc 1 mix I missed out on the first time, and it turned out to be the same other mix/right label again. So if you decide to make this purchase Disc 2 is worth the price in my opinion (particularly since it is probably out of print at this point). Disc 1 is probably good too if you can get it, but if you don't you will still have one of the most solid mixes (disc 2) ever released by Masters at Work.

Just Go And Buy It!!!!!!!, December 18, 2001
This review is from: Ministry of Sound: Sessions V.5 - mixed by Masters at Work (Audio CD)
When I first heard this 2xCD, I thought music could not get any better. That was around a week after it was released. And listening to it today, though the music industry has moved on a lot from 1995, I must say that the mix and the tracks have stood the test of time. Basically, it's MAW doing what they know how to do best with other people's (and their own) records......and that is DJ. Just take a another look at the track listing and note the classic tunes - I Know A Place; Love Changeover; Stay Together; Deep Inside. Quality house music delivered to you as only MAW can. Trust me and just buy it. You won't be disappointed.
