5.0 out of 5 stars Trance at it's Best
This CD has compiled the TRUE Trance Anthems of the decade, hitting hard with awesome songs like 'Till I Come, Wide Open Space, I Can't help Myself, Salva Mea, and the euphoric Children, an awesome track by Robert Miles. 3.0 out of 5 stars Trance Nation II vs. Clubbers Guide To...Trance
Trance is of course the best style of music ever and both albums kick ass...however, if you people think Trance Nation gets 5/5, then Clubber's Guide To Trance is worth 10/5...!! I strongly recommend the ATB mixed album from Ministry Of Sound..

Once you're done pouring this CD into your veins, go purchase part two and the entire "Euphoria" series. Ministry of Sound Kiks!

5.0 out of 5 stars Get the whole series!, March 7, 2002

Pretty much the whole MOS Trance Nation series rocks, and this CD is no exception. I'd rank the different volumes in roughly the order: 3/1 (tie), 2, 4, 2001. But get them all!

5.0 out of 5 stars Ministry - The AUTHORITY in trance and dance, July 17, 2000

A While ago i discovered this little CD for its bright orange on black cover in the import section of the local Tower records. Unknowingly i bought it cause i was familiar with Robert Mile's Children and the word Trance. that was one year ago... now i have almost every ministry release either a trek to nearest Virgin Megastore or Imported online... Ministry is the absolute authority in this kind of music with the ABSOLUTE best DJs traveling the world. UK's Ministry Of Sound practically invented the mixed CD and redefines it here. Trance Nation brings the best of trance in a all you can listen to sampler of the best songs the industry has to offer. Get this CD and then get the rest of the Trance Nation series. They WILL sell out.

5.0 out of 5 stars Deliriously-mad-driving trance, May 17, 2000
This review is from: Ministry of Sound: Trance Nation 1 (Audio CD)
I rarely buy compilations because i never like all the songs and if I like one, I always have to get the entire cd (single) because I want the full versions and the CD's featured in these compilations are always hard to find. But this compilation is pure heaven. Right from the start with the classic 'Children' then Ab.Fab. remix by Lange (great DJ!) of DJ Sakin&Frinds, Tilt (with vocals by Dominique Atkins aka Grace from the Perfecto label - she's my Goddess! I own all her records- write me if you like her!), Lucid, Lost Witness (though "Red Sun Rising" on Clubber's Guide to Trance is better), Oakenfold's remix of 'Wide Open Space, BT's 'Loving You More', SYSTEM F (and another song by him-Ferry Corsten-) Pulp Victim 'The World'99' is OH MY GOD the best ever! . Way Out West is great too and so is Future Sound of London's 'Papua New Guinea' (which closes down the collection in a lighter trance which leaves you wanting for more!(next volumes!). Slacker's 'Your Face' is Ab. Fab. too. I think this is much better than the C.G.T. Trance! 50 STARS!

5.0 out of 5 stars If you a looking for a Trance compilation this is the one, October 14, 1999

Excellent CD. There are many trance compilations out there which appeared after this one. Many of them have almost the same tracks but this one is the original. The tracks are longer and the mix is very good.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Must Have !, April 3, 2005
This review is from: Ministry of Sound: Trance Nation 1 (Audio CD)
This, im my view is the best and will always be the best Trance Compo - Made at the highlight of the industry in the late 1990s, all other compos (even other Trance Nations) will include some of the songs on here - but none will get the mix just right like MOS Trance Nation Vol I

Highlights for me include,
System F - Out of the Blue
Eletrique Boutique - Revelation
X Cabs - Neuro '99
Blank & Jones - Cream
Sasha - Be as One
Pulp Victim - World '99

Both disks have a nice chillout tune each to end them,
Lost Witness - Happiness Happneing
&
Future Sound of London - Papau New Guniea

As i said - this album is a must have !! -

*Note* Amazon havent quite got the right song list here - there are 18songs on each CD - and Energy 52 is on the second disk !

This is a must-own CD, especially if you are new to collecting trance. Classic tunes you must own, remixed by one of today's trance giants. I have hunted down each of the CDs in this series, and believe me, this is the best.

This is the most amazing CD 2 set I have heard. It starts out with a nice tone By "Robert Miles Children" and the energy never goes down with System F out of the blue, Storm and the songs after that just keep on coming and coming and you can feel the energy in them!

Second CD rocks just as much as the first. Offshore was the best song there.
The more I listen to it the more I love it!

So get this Cd and you will not be disappointed!

5.0 out of 5 stars It becomes a favorites compilation..., March 6, 2003
This review is from: Ministry of Sound: Trance Nation 1 (Audio CD)
A friend gave me this as a gift over 4 years ago, and I fell in love almost immediately. Since then, over half of the tracks have taken their turn as my favorite song. I stumbled back here while listening to Wide Open Space [Perfecto Mix] and daydreaming about kissing a pretty girl. Do yourself a favor and get your own. It's an incredible audio feast for dreamers, and I promise you'll enjoy it.
