I enjoyed this ebook on two levels. On the first level, I enjoyed reading about the aspects of female sexuality including women deserving more orgasmic pleasure than men. And on the second level, I enjoyed this book at the story level about one sister who got sucked into the cult-like phenomenon of Morgasm's beliefs about female sexuality, female empowerment and relationships and the other sister who endeavors to rescue her via intervention. Ministry of Morgasm is also intriguing because it can be read as a book about the dangers of trying to rescue someone from a fanatical type of cult, where the rescuer (the other sister) becomes somewhat seduced by what the female sexuality ministry is about, too. I'm sure some of you reading my review probably know about a few of the different self-help, love and relationship programs which have been popular over the past decade. The Miracle of Love and The Forum came to my mind. In some ways this book is a satire about love, relationship, self-help and empowerment "programs" that essentially want to reprogram members and get them to spend more money on seminars, membership donations, reading materials, etc. Cults and programs like these are generally dangerous and financially self-serving. The one sister obviously wants to rescue the other sister from the fate of this cultish group, but finds some of the Morgasm doctrine appealing. No spoilers about how the story resolves except to say that this book was an interesting read and I recommend it to anyone who would enjoy it on any level! This book would also make a good book for a Book Club discussion!

The Ministry of Morgasm is a very different book from most you'll read and I say that in a positive light. I'm still talking about it days afterward to my friends.

The premise is simple in that the narrator is trying to psych herself up to go to a free meeting of Morgasm, which she believes is a self-help, cult-like organization that purports to understand women so well that it will change their entire life for the good, make their marriages better, and send them to otherworldly places in the bedroom.

The narrator is a skeptic, but agrees to go, but only to keep watch over her sister who has obsessive compulsions. What eventually happens in the book is quite the unexpected twist that makes this such a delicious treat.

Throughout the book there are tiny signs that the author leaves to discover the satisfying conclusion, but it's kind of like the movie Sixth Sense in that respect. Oh, now I get it. What a twist!

I don't find too many stories these days written as well as the author did in this one. It's fast paced and certainly kept my attention the end. This book got me thinking throughout. The idea was obviously well thought through and I could imagine something like Morgasm existing in real life. If you're looking for an afternoon read about a witty sister who wants to protect her sister from a cult-like group about achieving greatness in your lovelife (with a surprise ending) you'll enjoy this book.

The story of the Ministry of Morgasm is just as interesting as its title. This e-book carries a fast-paced and mysterious storyline to keep you hooked until the end of the book. In fact, you wouldn't want to put it down until you finish it. I'm really a fast reader, so I was through reading the book in just about 2 hours.

The story is smartly written, with twists and turns in its storyline. The author's sense of humor is also evident as it shows on the events and characters put into the book. Morgasm is a unique concept, and it makes you wonder if it really does exist. The idea is embedded into the storyline so effectively that it will make you believe that it's true.

What really is Morgasm? What does it involve? How does it work? It's up to you to find out. This is a good book. It's worth buying and it's worth reading.

I have never been more convinced that there are times when an author or his/her publisher pays people to furnish fake reviews. It is a good thing this drivel was only 99 cents, or I'd be more incensed than I am. First, note that the "short novel" is 38 pages (approx.) according to the description, which I unfortunately did not pay close enough attention to before deciding to purchase it. I'm sorry, but I assume that a novel, even a short one, has an actual PLOT with, I don't know, a setup, the main idea, and a conclusion! Perhaps if the author hadn't spent SO much of the first 3 "chapters" in the head of the narrator, with her telling us all the reasons she thinks that self-help programs are such a waste of time, there might have been a possibility that the author could actually tell the reader what the "Ministry of Morgasm" actually is. And the ending? SPOILER ALERT: the ending is the narrator deciding that she's going to go into therapy to deal with her divorce because she found out that her sister has been lying to her about her (the sister's) husband still being a doofus. WTF???

"Ministry of Morgasm" is a short novel by Richard Buzzell. Buzzell has a different writing style than most authors out there today, which isn't a bad thing but he definitely stands out. His writing in this story has a mysterious tone to it, which is good because it adds to the story. It draws you in more.

My sister recommended this to me, and we basically read and like all the same books. She said that this book kind of reminded her of the two of us. And after reading it, I completely agree with her. The one thing I loved about this book was the relationship between the sisters. I think any two sisters out there today can agree with me.

The way Buzzell writes the sisters' relationship in the story is so realistic, and I was shocked because he is a male, and sometimes it's hard for male writers to write from a female's perspective but he nailed it. Kudos. I will definitely be looking for more of his books!
