runs so quiet on all 3 speeds and easy to assemble and use! since i was wiring electricity in a new room, i had my electrician install it, which made it much easier, but watching him, i think this is a really easy fan to set up. remote works well. since this fan gives you the option to either install the lamp or cover it with an included metal plate, i set it up without the light (i think it looks tacky). fan looks awesome in my somewhat modern design room, and always gets tons of compliments. fair price, perfect operation, im psyched.

I purchased (2) of these fans a few years ago. The 44" for the bedroom is fantastic and works great. The 52" for the front room doesn't produce as much power anymore. Further the #2 switch on the remote for middle power when hit puts the fan on high power & the #3 switch which is supposed to be high speed is now middle power. Maybe there is a flaw with the 52" as the 44" is perfect & more powerful.

Ordered 4 of these fans and had an electrician install them (so no operator error). It would seem the receivers for all 4 must be bad as NONE of them will reverse direction (and two were in winter mode as the default). Then within days, the fan in my son's room started to make a sizzling noise so we turned the power off until the electrician could come back; the receiver had started to melt!

The first time I called customer service was a nightmare. 20 mins on hold when only 3 people ahead of me, then was told that there wasn't anyone available in tech support (despite being the middle of the afternoon on a weekday). When I explained the problem, suddenly there WAS someone available and shortly after being transferred, they disconnected me. When the electrician was here and we made the call for the melted receiver we had much better luck. Both times we had to call (we had to troubleshoot in between) we had good response time and helpful technicians. They agreed to send us out 4 new receivers which was great so I'm happy on that respect.

Time will tell whether these are good fans once we have new receivers. One word though, they are MUCH bigger than they look. My husband's first response when he saw them up was that they looked like airplane propellers. When you want contemporary with a ceiling hugging option, there aren't a lot of choices though.

Hooked it up myself,(easy) it works great, looks cool, the blades are through and through color(polymer of some sort or whatever). It really moves the air and is very quiet, you can hear the air moving over the blades, but not the fan motor. The light dims, via remote control, and will turn off and on (fan speed too) where you set it, with the wall switch, I did not know that it did that. Nice nite light.
PS; We bought two, and will be sure to set the remote code in the housing, first, then install the motor.
Why does it move air so well? Because there are ridges on the top side of the blades. These ridges disrupt the air up, then more air comes down off the ceiling, forcing more air into the fan blades. buy one now.

Quiet and smooth fan. The design is nice an unique. The halogen is bright and provides additional lighting to the room so that was nice.

We hired an electrician to install it. It didn't seem too complicate. However, the receiver circuit shorted after installation. We called Minka and they sent out a replacement within a few days.

This is our third Minka fan and we're very happy with it. We've had it for less than 6 months so I cannot attest to its durability (except for the initial shorted receiver).

Great product. Love the look and function. It's very quiet. Was easy to assemble. The remote control is wonderful. It has 3 speeds, great lighting with gradient dimming, besides the ability to reverse fan direction. The only snafu with ours is the lightbulb died after 5-10 uses. Just replaced it and no problems since. Lots of compliments on it. We use it all the time in our sunroom. Great buy!

We bought this fan in white for our bedroom about 5 years ago. We have purchased fans for every room in our old house and now our new house. Of all of the fans, none work as good as this one. The light kit is wonderful and the best part about it all is the remote!

We could not believe it was the right fan when we opened up the box. The fan itself was brown, the blades were cheap plastic beige ones. The fan looks modern, single colored in the pictures, but in reality the cheap plastic bladed are sticking out. I even called the seller to express my disbelief that the right blades were sent. Turns out minka sells decent blades (matching wood color) separately for $35 dollars extra. Real disappointed in the representation of the product.

I already owned a Minka Concept II 48" ceiling fan so I already knew what to expect from the 52" version in terms of features. However, I was a little concerned as to whether or not the unit would be able to provide enough cooling air flow with just another 4". I am pleased to say that it did. I went with another Concept II as I was not able to find another low profile fan with as much style for a significantly lower price. I had installed a few other fans but they were either not powerful enough or hung lower than I like for my 8' ceiling. Once I got it in & installed, I knew I had made the right choice even though my initial efforts led me away from this particular fan. Great product.

As soon as i saw this item i knew i had to have it for my kitchen remodel.This is one sleek looking fan and it is very quiet.It is also very expensive considering the blades seem to be a cheap painted plastic.All in all i am quite pleased with this purchase.PS...I bought it from another vendor on the internet for the same price as the 44 inch model here on Amazon so it pays to search the internet for a better price.
