5.0 out of 5 stars Strib
I bought this motor to push a 17 foot canoe. I have not been able to get to the #5 speed for very long as it is to fast for the canoe for stability. I have never been able to run down a battery in a weekend. I use a 31 amp hour gel cell. It exceeds all my excpectaions.

1.0 out of 5 stars Have you noticed the change?
For years Minn Kota has offered 30, 36, 40, 45, & 50 amp motors in their small diameter (3.25") series. The difference has been evident in the length of the motor, starting at 5.25"

Recently, they have decided that there is no need for so many small increments, so they now only offer the 30 and 45.

In test pool studies I was never able to get the...

5.0 out of 5 stars Minn Kota-Endura 30 trolling motor, August 23, 2007

Got my order in three days. Put it on my square back canoe and it moves at nice jogging pace on the highest speed setting. Sure the 50 would be nice, but for the money the 30 is just fine.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Motor, May 25, 2007
By
I wanted to the ability to bass fish off my boat, so I purchased this motor a week ago along with a Seasense 4-Way Adjustable Trolling Motor Bracket and mounted both the back of my 15' Seadoo Sportster (Jet Boat). I have been fishing twice already, and love this motor. I am typically using the lowest speed and it pushes and pulls my 1,600 LB+ boat around the lake with no issue. The motor looks great, and the telescopic handle is an awesome and very convenient feature. I highly recommend this motor if you are looking for an inexpensive transom mount.

5.0 out of 5 stars GREAT FOR MY RAFT, October 24, 2007
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I own a Marine 400 (11 foot raft) and attached this motor to my boat and it took off. Just what I needed for the ponds and small rivers I fish. But what I was really impressed by was the prop. One pond I go to the shallows around the shoreline is covered with lily pads and I thought that I had to paddle past that in order to get to open water. But another fisherman who had another raft w/Endura 45 connected said, "You don't have to do that your motor blade is made to go right through that stuff." I dropped the motor and yep, it cut right through the pads. I'd say at full speed (#5) it gets close to 5mph. perfect for my needs. And the shipping by the seller was awesome to...I ordered it on a Friday and it arrived the next day and I requested standard shipping. I wish everything that I ordered from other companies came that fast.

I purchased this motor to power a 16'3" square stern canoe around a freshwater lake; and it does the job very well. It is lightweight, easy to mount and operate and, most importantly, it is powerful enough to move the canoe along at a brisk walking pace when loaded with three adults and a dog. I have used the motor up to two hours continuously on a single charge without noting any decrease in performance.

this motor is awesome for my seahawk 4! it mounts on like a dream and is SO QUIET! it's easy to steer and adjust. i use an 85 amp deep cycle battery and it ran for nearly 4 hours, half the time on the highest setting/speed (5). i do not actually fish on my boat so the motor was constantly running.. i was very impressed with how long the battery lasted.. makes for a lot of fun just cruising around the lake at a slow pace to take in the scenery. i'm really enjoying this!

4.0 out of 5 stars Minn 30 on 14' sailboat, August 20, 2009

This review is from: Minn Kota Endura Freshwater 30 Transom Mount Trolling Motor (30 Pounds Thrust, 30-Inch Shaft) (Sports)
I mounted the Minn 30 on my 300lb Blue Jay sailboat. It provides plenty of thrust to taxi out into the open water even when fighting a good head wind. It has made loading, unloading and docking almost effortless. One hour of use over the course of a afternoon on a 12v/60Ah. marine battery with little or no drain registering when I go to recharge it. (FYI: Minn 30 = 30amp at top speed, Minn 40 = 40amp..and so on)

This review is from: Minn Kota Endura Freshwater 30 Transom Mount Trolling Motor (30 Pounds Thrust, 30-Inch Shaft) (Sports)
I found the unit easy to use, stable, and sufficiently powerful to propell our 16 ft cannoe at a reasonable speed. I am very satisfied with this product. However, they do recommend the installation of a 30 amp breaker on the postive pole, but if you avoid overloading the motor, this breaker may not be needed.

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect for an Intex Excursion 4 Inflatable Boat, July 2, 2009
This review is from: Minn Kota Endura Freshwater 30 Transom Mount Trolling Motor (30 Pounds Thrust, 30-Inch Shaft) (Sports)
Used for the primary motor in a Intex Excursion 4 Inflatable Boat and this thing runs that boat pretty strong and at a brisk pace. Try a battery at 105 or higher capacity. Got caught in a storm on Lake Ponchartrain on the way in. This little motor pushed through super high winds and waves and got us back. Pretty impressive to say the least.
