i have owned the minnetonka 77001 men's brown leather sandals in the past & they were great! apparently they have changed it to 77007 which are similar but cheaper made! the padding/cushioning in the bottom isn't the same; it's thinner & not as comfortable; the plastic buckles are made cheaper & don't half work; the back leather strap is thinner & not as strong; in summary the 77001's were great! the new revised cost-savings replacement (77007) i won't be purchasing again; i'll find something different from some other brand from now on, unless they bring back the original quality-made 77001's...

I picked up my first pair of these 77001 at a truckstop in South Carolina 3 years ago. I never wore sandals for 58 years because they abraded my feet in one place or another. I bought these on a whim and have worn nothing else ever since. I have 60 dollar sneakers and some shoes that only collect dust in the corner. I wear these all day comfortably. My feet don't sweat in them but if I get them wet, your foot slides around badly. I've beat them bad and never broke a strap or anything. Eventually the soles harden and crack straight across so I always have a new pair waiting. They are fantastic footwear.
