5.0 out of 5 stars Sizing seems to be an issue
These moccasins are of high quality, however the moccasins (the shoe size I always order are 9.5) were at least a half of size to large. I am returning them and get a 9.

I am not sure why the feedbacks have not mentioned this size difference, but I thought it might be helpful if I did.

1.0 out of 5 stars Disappointed
I love Moccasins and have never had an issue with Minnetonka Moccasins before. So much so that I threw away all of the packaging and the return receipt right away. That being said - I have some serious issues with these.

5.0 out of 5 stars Outstanding casual shoe and slipper!, January 30, 2010

This is the second pair of Minnetonka moccasins that I have owned. The first pair lasted 15 years. I am very happy with this pair, in fact, I like them better than my first pair.

They are very comfortable and look good enough to go out in public wearing them. The soles offer good cushion and protection. I am now wearing them every day.

These moccasins/shoes are very well made. The construction is top notch and they should last many years. Amazon shipped them very quickly, as always!

I love Moccasins and have never had an issue with Minnetonka Moccasins before. So much so that I threw away all of the packaging and the return receipt right away. That being said - I have some serious issues with these.

First of all, as previously noted in other reviews, these things run way big. I mean at least a full size big. This makes no sense to me - you are a show company, how the heck do you screw up sizing? While this angered me, I could have lived with just the sizing issue. Unfortunately the other, and bigger, issue is the overall comfort level of the shoe. Again I have owned several pairs of Minnetonka Moccasins. They have been the only moccasins I have purchased over the last ten years to the tune of 4-5 different pairs. This variety is BY FAR the least comfortable that I have owned. They are so uncomfortable and seemingly poorly made that I have examined them closely trying to determine if they are knock offs. Still inconclusive. The leather is hard and almost jagged and the padding is completely minimal. The soles seem alright, except for the fact that the stitching is bunched up and coming out of the bottom of the shoe. I'm really disappointed in these shoes and wish I would have just gone to the store to purchase.

For those of you looking at moccasins - pick up a pair of the Minnetonka Moose Skins - those are a can't miss.

5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome, Comfy Shoe. Beware Dark Brown Runs Large, March 25, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
Got the dark brown shoes for my boyfriend, who loves them. However, be aware that the dark brown, leathery looking one does run about a size larger. If you look on the Minnetonka website, that tidbit is noted even though it is not on Amazon's website. We had to return the first pair, but Amazon was amazing to work with for that. Just make sure to order 1 to 1.5 sizes smaller from your usual size if you are getting the brown lariat!

My husband likes this pair of Minnetonks moccasins even better than pair of regular Minnetonka moccasins I gave him years & years ago. He is especially fond of the darker color and the double bottom that will wear longer. He wears them all the time, inside & outside!

3.0 out of 5 stars sizing is a problem, September 21, 2011

I love the construction and appearance of these new mocs. My old ones, by Decker shoe company, lasted about 25 years, and these Minnetonkas are a little nicer -- softer leather and nicer, better cushioned insole. However, please pay attention to the many comments about faulty sizing on this shoe. I ordered my shoe size, which hasn't changed in a quarter century, and I was swimming in these things. They were so big that they wouldn't stay on. I returned them for a size smaller (not a half size because they don't make 12½). The new ones stay on, but they're a little small. Therefore, I'd recommend ordering a half size smaller than your regular shoe size. People who wear size 13 shoes may be disappointed, as 13 is going to be too big and 12, though closer to correct, may still be a little too small. Anyone with shoe size 12½ or smaller, should be able to find a Minnetonka that's right. Just add $4.80 or $9.60 to the price to include the cost of shipping them back to Amazon once or twice during your trial-and-error attempts to find the right size.

The question is: Since this glaring disparity between these shoes and all others is so significant, why in the world can't the manufacturer correct it???

3.0 out of 5 stars size issue, July 27, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I wear a size 9.5 shoe. I ordered a 9.5 and it was at least an inch too long and wide. I sent it back, paying the shipping. I re-ordered a size 9. My toes is tight up against the end of the shoe. it is stretching a bit but my toe will eventually wear through the end of the shoe. Please instruct whoever is making these mocs to pay more attention to sizing.

Also, in the picture, the moc is smooth leather. When it arrived, it was suede. it was listed as suede, but i went by the picture.

5.0 out of 5 stars Just what I wanted, July 16, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
After shopping around a lot, I bought these mocs. I'm very pleased with them. I wanted something that I could slip on while standing that will keep my feet warmer. Kind of between flip-flops and a regular shoe, but more substantial than a slipper. This was it.

Materials and construction seem excellent with these mocs. They look like they will last for years.

3.0 out of 5 stars To sparce a discription., October 24, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
Descriptions on many products, even those with specs, (not all, and not just shoes) are lacking important detaials. These are not comfortable to walk around wearing as a substitute for say deck shoes. The main problem being they do not have an arch support. Without an arch support, it gets tedious to continually wear them. Such information should be supplied in the description/specs of shoes. The leather uppers are great, the sole should last a long time, but they are not comfortable for extended wear. Oh yeah, my cats think the shoes are great for sharpening their claws.

3.0 out of 5 stars no instep support, October 9, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
These are my third pair of Minetonka moccasins. I had hoped/expected that with the double bottom hardsole described in the product title and the raised heal visible in the photo that this style would have more instep support that my previous Minetonkas, but that is not the case. Therefore, I can only wear them part time and cannot walk long distances in them. Well made from good materials, as one would expect.
