These were to be my husband's favorite slippers, until yesterday. The stitching is letting go around the top on one slipper, and on both, the plastic heel backer have broken and now "click" when he walks or sits. "Luckily" on the one the stitching is letting go, the back seam where the plastic is wasn't stitched correctly and opened up. I was able to remove all the plastic and super glue the seam shut. For the brand reputation, I wouldn't have thought this to happen so quickly with minimal wearing. For the price, I would have expected this from a cheaper pair. Guess they aren't made like they used to. Style, function, comfort and warmth, I would have given 5 stars, but these hiccups take 2 away.

I was looking for a warm slipper that didn't look like they belonged to Grandpa but kept my usually cold feet warm. These really fit the bill (in black, so no soil marks). Perfect for indoors and for running to the garage, taking out the garbage, and so on. Just bought a second pair for very fussy significant other. NOTE: These slippers are sized too small. I wear a 10 but the 10 was very tight. I swapped for 11s and they fit the bill. Same with another shoe from the same maker. Order one size larger than you normally wear and you should get a good fit.

I bought these slippers recently, I am working in Afghanistan in the mountain area, where it is getting cold (I'm from So.Cal)i work on a Army base, where i have to walk to use the bathroom or shower, and the terrain is very rocky, they laid down gravel to help with dust, didn't really help only made it hard to walk. these slippers handle the terrain with no problem, they are so warm and comfortable, i wear military desert boots 12hrs a day 7 days a week, so i look forward to putting these on. I would highly recommend these to anyone, worth the price for sure!!!!

This is my second pair of these exact slippers. My first being from May 2010, and they have now fallen apart. I did notice stitching coming apart somewhat early in their life, but they were so comfortable I forgave them. A few weeks ago they really came apart at the toe so it was time for a new pair.

I read through the other reviews and was a bit surprised that people had so many issues with quality. I shrugged it off thinking that my 2.5 years of life were plenty for really comfortable slippers.

The new pair arrived a few days ago, and just now I realized why they felt weird. I thought I was going to need to break them in, but instead realized that the inner sole on the right slipper is too small, clearly meant for a small size slipper. The toes on my right foot wrap around the front of the sole (bent downward) and are resting on the top of the rubber sole. They are going back, and I am going to try the Tamarac slippers which seem to have great reviews. I'm not sure how Minnetonka has slipped so much (maybe they were always this way) but at $75 a par they really don't have an excuse.

These slippers are comfortable and warm, and are made from high-quality sheepskin. The soles are another matter, entirely: I owned a pair for less than a year, and the outsoles tore on the sides where the stitching connects them to the upper. I repaired them by hand (I used to repair shoes), and (thinking I had somehow misued them)I purchased a second pair. The second pair fell apart the same way after less than two months of use. Minnetonka seems to be using an inferior grade of synthetic rubber for their outsoles. It actually crumbles with repeated flexing. This should NOT happen at this price level. I will not buy this brand again.

I bought a pair for a Christmas gift for my husband. He absolutely LOVED everything - that 1)it's made in USA, 2) it's snugly and keep his feet warm, and 3) the rubber is firm and grips the floor well...until, third week into wearing the slippers, stitches on the side on one of the foot started to come off. We didn't want to pull the thread, but as he continues to wear, the top part of the thread totally came off and now I can put my finger in the whole. I didn't expect this from all the reviews that I've read, especially when I compared the quality with other cheap brands, I certainly expected it to last a little longer....

Well my beloved old pair of warm fluffy slippers finally wore out, so I tried these. These slippers are kind of pricy, but I like them very well so far. They are very comfortable, and fit nicely. I've read where some people have had to buy different sizes than their shoe size to get certain slippers to fit. No problem with these. I ordered the same size and they fit nicely.

I like that these slippers have a rubber sole. I was afraid that they would feel more like wearing a shoe than a slipper, but they don't. They combine the comfort and warmth of a slipper, with some of the practicality of a shoe.

    Highly recommended.

I purchased a pair for my husband several years ago and he loves them. He was never one to wear slippers, but now he takes them even when we travel! They lasted a very long time and it's only now that we need to get him a new pair since the sheepskin gore has worn down from daily use.
    I highly recommend them!
