The plug and receptacle appear well made; they have worked well so far. The screws included were cheap and even after predrilling a starter hole one head sheared off when I was installing the receptacle. Luckily, I was able to rotate the receptacle and install with higher grade stainless screws I purchased at my local hardware store.

The factory plug & receptacle for my trolling motor would get hot and the plug would soften to the point that it would not make connection with the receptacle. The upgrade to MinnKota MKR-18 plug & receptacle is a much better locking plug and a nice price to what Bass Pro wants for the same plug-free shipping rules!!

The plug is of good quality , but I gave it a low rating because they make you buy an expensive 6 gauge adapter, which is the wire size they recommend, to connect your wire to the plug. A cheap shot in my book. If they recommend 6 gauge wire, why wouldn't their plug accept that size of wire?

My order arrived on schedule, and was exactly what I needed when I needed it.

Ordered this when I ordered a new V2 trolling motor. Sure did simplify wiring up the new motor. Very easy to install.

What a great item! I recommend to anyone that is putting a battery under a bench seat in a aluminum boat.

I use to plug my minnkota motor directly to the powerstation since the battery was at the back of the boat, next to the motor, but after doing some modifications to my 2 person fishing boat, now my batteryis located at the center of the boat. At first I decided to use a universal car plug but then decided to buy this Minnkota Mkr-18 12V Plug & Recp for many reasons. It looks more professional and safety reason. When I got the item, I made the right decision since this plugs in only ONE way, so no way you can screw up or reverse the polarity. The quality of this plug and recp is very good, came with all the necessary parts to make it look professional.

I hate this product. It was hard to install, the wires kept pulling loose and I'm only hopeful it will last until I can get something better. Connecting bare wires with electrician's tape would be better than buying this piece of junk.

We did not receive this item. We paid for it and tracked it to the carrier. We have no way to contact Amazon so we will not order from Amazon again. We would like some help direction on how to get our package.
