Amazon.com Review
There are a lot of advantages inherent to knitting for children. The items are small and work up quickly; the sizing needn't be perfect (few toddlers are into the tailored look); and the kids just look so darned cute when you're done.
Minnowknits doubles those advantages--the instructions are blessedly clear, the gauge is never too small, and the items will undoubtedly be passed from child to child because they're absolutely adorable, if a bit offbeat. Jil Eaton's timeless styles are hip and vibrant. It's a lucky baby whose favorite knitter gets this book.
From Library Journal
Imagine a baby romper with full, bright orange pants, a green back, and a hot pink front, patch pockets, and knitted-in trim and you will understand that this is no ordinary children's pattern book. The garments, designed for children from three months to ten years of age, include hats, sweaters, party dresses, and jackets. The models are delightful, inspiring the knitter, and not one of the projects would be boring to work on. As is the norm with acclaimed designer Eaton, clear instructions are accompanied by beautifully done schematics. Essential for knitting collections.
