This review is from: The Minnow Leads to Treasure (Scott, Foresman Invitations to Personal Reading Program) (Hardcover)
David finds a canoe washed up on the riverbank near his house. He takes it up the river looking for the rightful owner (and hoping not to find him). He does find him, and after a brief misunderstanding over what he was doing with the canoe, they become friends and then spend the summer together trying to friend the hidden treasure that is part of his new friend's family lore. If they do not find it, his friend's family must sell their family home and move away. A delicious tale of summer freedom, boys, friendship, boating, treasure hunting, and learning about human nature.
