This is a very good zoom that actually was designed to be sharpest at the long end (300mm) -- most zooms are best at the short end. But here, where you may want it most, it really delivers. You can read many user reviews for this lens at dyxum.com.There you'll find there are TWO VERSIONS of this 100-300 APO lens. One is marked "D" - it has the latest electronic connections for flash focusing with Sony cameras. The other APO without the D has the same lens structure. NOTE: The photos on the Amazon.com are of the two different versions. The main photo is the D version. The other photo is of the older version. Before you buy, it's important to know which one the used lens dealer is selling you. I don't know how to write to them ahead of time, but that's my recommendation. |
