Simple. Effective. Sturdy. Exactly as advertised. I don't know what else there is to say other than I would recommend to a friend.

This is the third phone holder I have owned and I have finally found a keeper. It holds the phone securely and my Galaxy S3 goes in and out easily. The first holder broke off its connection from the cradle to the stem mount when I hit a NYC pot hole. The second was very secure but I had real problems operating the buttons and viewing the screen through the plastic cover (and it wasn't water proof). With the Minoura, neither the buttons nor the screen are covered. I carry a waterproof envelopeWaterproof Case for Phones, Digital Camera, GPS & Other Small Devices - IPX8 Certified to 100 Feet that folds small enough to fit in my small under-saddle bag. If I am caught in the rain, I can pop the phone into the waterproof case and put in in a back pocket on my jersey.

I returned this model. I have the-100 on another bike and it works great. This model (-400) has a different cheaper mounting system. The two individual alloy straps fit on a dowel, however when you tighten the adjustment screw to clamp it to your bars, the straps bend out and slip off the dowel. Clearly, the dowel should have some grooves or something to prevent this. With the high cost of replacing my iPhone, I wasn't going to risk the whole thing falling off while riding. I'll stick with the -100.

This is by far is the BEST iphone adapter for the road bicycle. Excellent quality and fit. High tech look and adds to the look of an expensive road bike.

I have the Galaxy S3 with an Otterbox case and the phone just barely squeezes in, which is not all too bad as it sits securely, but just becomes hard to remove afterwards. The other issue is setting up the holder. I noticed that after my first ride, the spacers I used around the clamp had slid out of place and the holder was a bit loose. The spacers need to be a bit wider so that there is some room for lateral movement. Overall pretty happy with it.
