Light and Foldable,

This review is from: Minoura True-Pro Bicycle Wheel Truing Stand - 430-3200-00 (Misc.)
I have to admit that the weight is what won me over, before actually using it. I am a mobile bike mechanic. The other nice thing about this stand is that it gives you a gauge for both sides of the rim, and this stand comes with the calibration tool, so you can make sure your truing stand is true. (the other brands sell the calibration tool as an extra)The jaws can be manually pulled open to facilitate speed in mounting a wheel with a tire. The jaws are plastic, with metal inserted "ears" that can be slid back when using it on carbon or painted rims, then you only have the plastic touching the rim instead of metal. The folded stand fits in the bottom of medium large tool boxes. The mounting arms push together or pull open, no knobs to turn, and this can take a little practice to get used to. I also have a single arm truing stand for mobile use, but this True-Pro is easier to use because you don't have to flip the wheel over to check for dish. This stand isn't bullet proof, but is easy to set up on site, accurate when used properly, and the perfect size for mobile repair or home shop use. It won't stand up to shop monkeys swinging from it however, or use as a wheel cleaning stand like the $250 models will.

This truing stand is not true enought,

I bought this truing stand through amazon a few years ago and I am now going to scrap it and buy a better one. This stand is simple not ridgid enough and not true enough. You cannot true a wheel to within a 1/16 of an inch with a stand that has a 1/2 inch of play in it. They give you a T bar you are supposed to be able to ture the stand with but when you take out the bar and put in the wheel the trueness of the stand is lost. Major pain in the neck. I'm goping to stop aggravating myself and buy a better stand.

I bought this product for rebuilding my rim. I am disappointed. It is okay for truing if you already have an idea of the center but not for rebuilding the rim. It is not reliable. You will be better off buying some other product.
