This is a very interesting look at the growth of the burlesque houses in America focused on the famous Minsky family and their empire. Don't expect too much sex or scandal in this book, but do expect a personal look back on the business and it's personalities including Gypsy Rose Lee. This is a fantastic reference for those seeking to understand the true nature of burlesque in the early 20th century with a beneath the glitz look at the business.
