They're Baaaack!,

It's been 11 years since we saw a Nuclear Valdez release. Much too long. Although nothing is worth that kind of wait, this is a really good cd on the very first listen. "Remember", Stem of Tragedy", "Still Won't Let You Go" and "In a Minute All Could Change" are great songs. These guys know all about catchy hooks. The cd also includes Spanish versions of four songs that give you even more of a good thing. Mediocre production keeps it from getting 5 stars. Just doesn't as crisp or sharp as it should. Some Spanish instrumentation would've really punched some songs up. All things considered ... a very good cd from an underappreciated band. Enjoy this cd and go buy first two.

great new music from an overlooked band,

"In a Minute All Could Change" finds the band rockin' out again without losing much of the complexity and emotional depth that has always been thier trademark. I couldn't believe it when the first track started out with heavy guitar. No more drum loops or keyboard pads anywhere. Don't get me wrong, I love "Dream Another Dream" too but I'm glad the crunchy guitars have been brought up front in the mix. The production is pretty lean but I like it; this is rock music after all. Great song writing and solid musicianship throughout. If you like Nuclear Valdez or any well crafted rock band you should buy this CD now!

Nuclear Valdez should be huge. Their first two albums, 1989's "I Am I" and 1991's "Dream Another Dream", with their beautiful, stirring lyrics and unforgettable melodies, endeared them to a devoted following but never brought them the commercial success of which they're so deserving. So be it. We love them anyway. Flash forward to 2002 and the release of "In A Minute All Could Change". It's a perfect album. The band have lost none of their talent for gorgeous lyrics and can't-get-it-out-of-your-head music. Songs such as "Wonderland", "Still Won't Let You Go", and "Only Yesterday" perfectly showcase singer Fro Sosa's searing, beautifully expressive voice. The music is reflective of a myriad influences, from classic rock 'n roll to Latin rhythms. I've been unable to stop listening to my copy. This is a band which does not disappoint and just keeps growing stronger. Bonus: four versiones en espanol of songs. Gracias Juan, Fro, y Robert, por haber regresado cuando mas los necesitamos.

I remember these guys from the first album - which I loved! I saw them perform live in at a club back then and was totally impressed. Now I'm going through that all over again with this new album. What an amazing treat for my ears to hear their music!
