....from a professional standpoint,
This review is from: 10 Minute Guide to Sap R/3 (Paperback)
As a SAP project manager I can recommend this book in conjunction with an SAP introduction class for END-USERS with no background or experience with SAP whatsoever. The book is black and white but uses many visual elements and screenshots, so it is nice to read. I only gives a brief overview of how to start with SAP and get going. This book cannot replace face-to-face user training, however, it can be a good supplement. It is a short and sweet intro to SAP R/3.

Very useful ready-to go guide for beginners end-users,
This review is from: 10 Minute Guide to Sap R/3 (Paperback)
You have all you need to begin with SAP R/3 navigation. From icons and toolbars to superficial but very helpful information on how to go with printing, matchcodes, major modules and how the fields are used. For those who do not have time to read the thousand pages SAP guides, this "10 Minute Guide" is the way to reach their objectives.

Good basic beginner's reference,

This review is from: 10 Minute Guide to Sap R/3 (Paperback)
It was very helpful for our new end users as a quick reference to basic screens, functions, and tasks. Take it for what it is, a quick overview of basic skills. It is not intended to be a detailed module specific user guide.

A Bare-bones introduction to SAP Screens/Navigation,

This review is from: 10 Minute Guide to Sap R/3 (Paperback)
This is one of those bed-time easy reader type books that you can read quickly. It exposes you to an overview of how SAP screens appear and how one can navigate in the plethora of screens SAP supplies. Given that it costs 10 bucks or thereabouts, it will be useful to have it in the corporate library. Dont set your expectations high though!

Excellent introduction to SAP R/3,

This review is from: 10 Minute Guide to Sap R/3 (Paperback)
For someone who knows absolutely nothing about SAP R/3, this is an invaluable introduction that will shed some light on the mysteries of the product. Geared towards the casual business user, the book is divided into digestable chunks for an easy self-learning experience. I highly recommend it as a first book.

Due to our changing global economy, and old time German COBOL has crept into our industries under the guise of uniformity (SAP). If you try to pull the code part, you will find it full of German abbreviations. If you're lucky, you only need to know how to use the application.
Is your company used the canned application this book learn how to: Log on to SAP R/3 Access the SAP r/3 modules Use basic navigation skills Work with master data Generate reports Read and interpret common error messages Access extensive online help features Instead of being at the mercy of the IT department most SAP users use a product called Monarch to produce their reports. I purchased this book for a friend so that maybe they may be able to understand what SAP is all about. Wrong! It's realy designed for those people sat by an SAP system, if you are then use the very good SAP documentation provided! This book is a complete waste of money; how on earth can you write a 10 minute guide to one of the most complex systems in the world? The book is flawed in many places... USE THE STANDARD DOCUMENTATION AND TRAINING MATERIAL FROM SAP. |
