If you have older hardwood floors ( not the newer sealed hardwood) this product is great. The one with low gloss was good but I needed to put two coats. The high gloss one only take one coat and it looks great. My floors are very old and the finish is practically off of it. I used this product as a last ditch effort and it has saved my floor.I do it one a year and then top it with some Preen polisher. It lasts all year. This is the third year I have used it and to tell you the truth it didn't really need it this year as it still looked good. I can understand why the user that used it on the prefinished hardwood floor would have a problem with it. It should have stated it on it's label but it does now I believe. I think I remember reading that on the label.

First off make sure you pay attention to the bad reviews here ...THIS ITEM IS FOR OLD HARDWOOD THAT STILL HAS A FINISH..DO NOT USE IT ON NEW MANUFACTURED FLOORS. NOW FOR MY 5 STAR REVIEW. I remodeled my 60 year old home back in 2006 and wanted to keep some of the old elements. I have a random width pumpkin pine floor with pegs that was definitely showing signs of wear. I decided to save money and go online and had [...] come out and refinish my floors without sanding. They did beautifull work and my floors looked fantastic for about a year before they started dulling again. The price to have them do the entire first floor of my home was just over 500 dollars. I recently discovered this product and decided to give it a try...2 bottles covered the entire first floor of my home and the results are just as good as what i paid [...] 500 + dollars to do. My cost for same results....30 dollars....FANTASTIC

I'd just had a lot of work done inside my house and the wear was showing on my floors. Weeks of carpenters, plumbers, electricians and tile setters tromping through had left their marks. I saw this product on the shelf at Home Depot and its name sounded just like what my floors needed: revival, something short of refinishing. I picked up a $2 styrofoam paint pad for an applicator, as per instructions. I cleaned my floors first with a spray wood cleaner. Then I put this on in small areas, squirting straight from the bottle and mopping it around with the applicator. It went on smooth as silk and, while wet, made everything look new.
The big surprise is it dries with the same shine! The floors look awesome. It covered up a multitude of little scratches and worn patches and left a deep, rich shine on the parquet. I don't know long it will stand up, but for the price of a bottle, I'm willing to reapply once a year. This stuff really works as advertised. Do no hesitate.

Used this item before with great results, purchased it again but this time in the high gloss. We have a log cabin with white pine floors so they take a beating from the sand on shoes. If you vacuum and wash the floor and apply this product once again you will be amazed how it brightens up the floors and gives a great finish. Dries in 8 hours ,but I'd wait to move furniture on it for a day. Great product goes on easy cleans up easy , just remember when you apply it get a good brush I mean a 10 or 15 dollar brush and put it on sparingly, a little goes a long ways.

Great product I'd highly recommend!

I have original hardwood floor in my 100+ year old house. When I first bought the house, they were in good condition and I should have had hem refinished before I moved in. But with dogs, a job etc, I just never did it and now he potential mess involved plus finding a place for the dogs while the floors are redone, keeps me from actually doing what needs to be done.

That being said, I am very picky and clean in my home habits and while the floors always looked good, they just didn't have the pop that I like to see in hardwood floors. I have tried other floor revivers(Holloway House)and he results were good for about 2 days (3 dogs--2 very large). I had all but given up and resigned myself to having to finally get the floors done professionally, until I found this product.

I did a thorough cleaning with the MinWax hardwood floor cleaner (the best wood floor claner I have found-http://www.amazon.com/Minwax-62127-32-Ounce-Hardwood-Cleaner/dp/B000VZP61C/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1358103699&sr=8-1&keywords=minwax+floor+cleaner), vacuumed really good and then went over it once again to be sure no stray dog hairs or dust were around. Put this stuff down and Wow!!! You would never know that my floors have never been done professionally. I found that the first coat took about 20-30 minutes to lightly walk on it so I did another coat. Same time frame. The results have lasted about 3-4 weeks so far. Just redid them with only one coat as the high traffic area was starting to look dull.

Old Floors (real hardwood)? Then you will love this stuff. It also seems to protect the floor from getting scratched by dog claws..which is def a big plus for me. This is not a scrach filler but your floors will look amazing. Glad I found this product.

This product does just what the name implies - revives your wood floors. The wood floors in my house are 72 years old, still in good condition with the finish pretty much intact but they have just lost some of their luster. I used this product in a small bedroom to see how it would perform before using it in my hallway and living room - it brought back the luster that was fading and the floor looks great, I really couldn't be happier. For the price paid and simplicity of applying the product it has met my expectations. Keep in mind, this is NOT a substitute for floors in need of complete refinishing, it will not make highly damaged floors look like new and it isn't intended to.

The best analogy I can make is that it's like giving your car a good wax job, if your car's paint is in decent shape a good wax job can really make your car look nice and shiny and hide some small blemishes, but a wax job won't remove dings, deep scratches, and it certainly won't help a car that is a complete rust bucket - you would need body work and a complete new paint job to do so. My floors are in good shape with some small blemishes, this product simply made them shiny again and hid some of the small scuffs and knicks. So if your floors are in really bad shape, this stuff really isn't for you..

For those who have reported bubbling, mottling, and other similar problems all I can think of is that they applied the product wrong, did not prepare the surface properly, or used it on a surface in which this product was not intended for.

I read all the reviews here first too and was nervous about applying this due to some of the negative reviews, but I'm glad I gave it a try. I'll be applying the product on the rest of my wood floors now as I had great success with my test room. The only reason I haven't given 5 stars is because I want to see how well the product holds up. Minwax says that it should last about 6 months, so we'll see.
