This is the most adorable dancing flower. I got one for two girlfriends and my sisters. I just came back from China and I noticed these on dashboards of several cars. If you can look at this and not smile.....then maybe you need two! I will agree with the other reviewer that you must be careful when assembling the flower to the stem and the stem to the base. The stem is quite thin and fragile-looking. I didn't have any issues but I read that review prior to assembly.
Buy one and enjoy.

We love it. It sits in our kitchen window and does its thing, seemingly happy! The flower stem is a bit delicate, so be careful when you push it into the socket in the base. I managed to break (and subsequently fix with glue) the stem when I tried to turn it around for better "sun reception" in our window. We get alot of fun comments from visitors. Well worth the price!

I had read several reviews stating similar flowers from Bee Happy were unreliable (i.e. stopped working after a few weeks, or never worked at all), so I was careful in choosing this particular company. I gave the flower as a gift, and the recipient received two others from Bee Happy at the same time, so I was anxious to see how they would compare. The Minya green flower had a slightly cheaper feel. When set up indoors together, the two Bee Happy flowers began dancing under the artificial light, but the Minya only wobbled a bit. I was quite disappointed, until we set it in a window - in real sunlight, the Minya was a little green dynamo. Dance, dance, dance! It was adorable. My conclusion is if you're planning to buy a solar flower for indoor use where there are no windows, you may be better off with the Bee Happy brand. However, if sunlight is available, this one is just as good. (The person for whom I bought it unwrapped all three a month ago, and to my knowledge they are all still working.)

This flower has not stopped dancing yet. The one we received as a gift from Bee Happy stopped working after a month. Yet because of our disappointment with the Bee Happy product, I don't want to jinx our new one. So far so good!

1) Flower will only dance in the strongest of indoor lighting, it really needs natural lighting to perform (well). Since this was a gift for our Admin at work, it basically will only get indoor lighting.

2) Shipper did not send me the color I ordered. Though it was not altogether bad or hideous, it was not what I ordered.

During my trip to Asia, I found these dancing flowers everywhere. It has a tiny solar panel in front which collects light creating enough energy to cause the flower and its leaves to move. They are irresistibly cute. I bought half a dozen of these when I found them here in a discount store. My daughter will be having her 5th birthday party and we will give them as prizes.

My kids played with one of them in the house. Another we placed in front of the car, right on top of the dashboard using a little weatherproof adhesive tape. At night, when the only source of lights are some fluorescent fixtures, the flower is hardly moving. But put it closer to the source, or moreover shine a flashlight on the solar panel and the flower instantly starts to gyrate. Outside where there is more sun, the flowers sway strong and nonstop.

I broke one of the flowers when I was holding it. I accidentally pressed it to my side and the flower stem just snapped. The kind of plastic used is very brittle. So, as long as you take care of it and doesn't hold it too much, it will be a lot of fun.

The one I got is not like the one on the pic! It is white on the pic but it arrive to be yellow and different shape!

This is a fun great gift idea. My girlfriend loves it. Every time she looks at it, it brings a smile and squeal of childness to her. Hilarious, fun and amusing gift.

I saw the original version of this without the daisy on thinkgeek.com and thought it was cool, so I googled it to see if there were any others like it.
Lo and behold I come up here and find one that looks good enough to buy (based on other reviews).
It is indeed a very cute little thing, but a warning: this seller takes forever to ship orders. What should've taken a week+ to ship to my house took 2.5 weeks. (That's just a bit ridiculous in my opinion, especially when there's a garuntee that it would take about a week).
That being said, these are also very picky about what "amount" of light makes it work; I had it on my window-sill in FULL sunlight and it didn't dance or anything, yet when I stuck it under a desk lamp it worked perfectly fine- slightly dissapointing.
Overall, it's nice for something to spruce up your desk or work area, but don't expect a stellar performance from it. Who knows, maybe I just got a dud :/

these are the cutest things ever. i got me and my sister one from dropzonedeals. it came within three days which i liked. when i got the package and opened it. one of the flower pots was different from the other. mine looked like a reggie verson and the word "flip flap" was in japenese or something like that. and the back had 4 srews in it which wasnt suppose to be there oh and not to mention..the dar thing didnt even work. on the otherhand my sisters flower pot was fine.wtf. it worked and everything. im getting my money back on mine. totally disappointed.
