About Mio
The story of Mio began in 1999 when it was created by entrepreneur and mother of three, Liz Dickinson. Like many of us, Liz balances family and career, leaving little time for fitness. After several unsuccessful attempts to achieve her fitness goals and shed the pregnancy weight-gain of her third child, Liz turned to a personal trainer for advice. purchased watch because it did not require a chest strap. readings are accurate. (i checked them manually by taking my own pulse at my wrist.) if you don't get a reading, try it again...never went beyond two tries while on treadmill. (% heart rate number not meaningful as there are several ways to calculate maximun: 220-age; 220 - 1/2 age, etc.)
would buy again...worth price.

Good Product So Far,

I got this watch because I wanted to be able to check my heart rate easily during exercise. I've been using it for almost a month and its been great for this. It's a very simple design and you don't have to wear a chest strap (which was also a major reason why I got this watch.) I was a little afraid at first about how well it would work after I read the reviews, but so far I haven't had any problems. For the money I think its an excellent product.

I had a heart rate watch a long time ago that did not work well. I thought they may have improved over the years, but I was so wrong. I would say if all you do is sit on the sofa and move very little then this watch will work for you. If on the other hand you want to work out then save you money on this watch. When biking I can't get a reading at all. When I bike on a stationary bike I get readings of 196 to 205 bpm and never changes. Even after am done and have cooled down it still is around 196 bpm. I was 2 days pass the 30 days to return to Amazon so they would not take it back. I called Mio and got a message that it would be faster to hang up and they would call back with in 5 days, what a joke. I called again and the same thing, they have a good thing going there and saving a lot of money from not replacing the junk they sell. Very, very upset with this watch and the non service they give..none! Buy this watch at your own risk or if you have money to throw away. I gave it a 1 star only becouse there was no zero to put in. JUNK JUNK JUNK!!!!!!!
