Miracle Blanket - Green with Beige Trim Swaddle Blanket

We bought the Miracle Blanket when our son was 3 months old. We had been swaddling him in Halo sleep sack and Kiddopotmus swaddlers until he started to break out of them. He is now 4 months old and we have been using the Miracle blanket for naps and at night, however we are starting to transition him out of swaddling, so he always has one arm free of the swaddler.
Positives:
1) The fabric is lightweight, so it is great to use in warmer weather
2) It is easy to swaddle only the arms, leaving the legs out of the bottom sac
3) When we swaddle our son perfectly, he stays swaddle all night without breaking out of the swaddle.

Negatives:
1) It is hard to perfectly swaddle a squirming baby ;) and if we haven't made sure each arm flap is smooth and covering his entire arm, he often breaks free of the swaddle in the middle of the night.
2) Our son kicks his legs out of the sack almost immediately, now matter how tightly we swaddle him. This isn't a huge issue, but I thought it was worth mentioning

The only other suggestion I would make is to purchase a pattern. We have the green with off white trim and it has a few stains on it from leaking diapers. I think having a pattern would hide these spots better.
Overall I would say this was a good purchase. Considering the cost, I would have bought it sooner than 3 months in order to get more use out of it but having used it for 4 weeks now, I am happy with it.

Our baby was a terrible sleeper until we figured out that we had to swaddle him. Most swaddling blankets are much too small and completely useless. The "ultimate receiving blanket" is much bigger than most and for a while did the trick but pretty quickly the baby outgrew and outmuscled that one too. Then came the baby bonkie, a swaddling sleepsack. It was the best thing ever. Very user friendly and it had our baby sleep through the night instantly. However, that too got too small too soon. Then I found the miracle blanket. It's a little less user friendly than the baby bonkie. It takes a bit more effort to wrap your baby up in this. But it's not hard and you get the hang of it fairly quickly. Our baby is now 25" long and weighs almost 15 lbs and he still fits comfortably in the miracle blanket. I hope this will last until he has outgrown his moro reflexes and can sleep in a regular sleepsack. If not, I guess I'll have to find a way to put together my own miracle blanket.

This blanket works great. It is the best wrap blanket available as far as keeping your baby from getting their arms out. We have been very happy with this blanket.

I have perfected the swaddle with my second child, but am always challenged to find an appropriately sized blanket to swaddle with and then face the challenge of her working her arms out or kicking out of the swaddle and waking herself up in the middle of the night (not that she doesn't wake up every few hours anyway).

This is by and far the BEST baby product I have every used. It is so easy to use and instantly soothes my child from crying to sleeping in a matter of minutes. I bought a second one after using it the first night and will get it for everyone I know having babies. Hooray for miracle blanket!

We have tried the Swaddle Me, the Swaddle Blanket, and the Miracle Blanket. The ONLY one our daughter AND son did not break out of was the Miracle Blanket ( she is now 5 1/2, he 3 1/2 - they each used it for about 3 months).

ADVANTAGES
* Works differently than others - holds arms at side with two "flaps" that tuck under the body (uses body weight), and then a longer piece wraps around the baby. The end result is a very tight but comfortable looking cocoon that works!
* NO VELCRO - The velcro on the Swaddle Me kept waking our daughter up and sticking to everything in its path.
* Keeps them warm with nothing else required.

DISADVANTAGES
* The part that swaddles the bottom half of the body sometimes come loose - you have to make sure that you wrap the blanket around the lower half o the body REALLY well!
* Nothing else we can think of

We are aware of other blankets on the market, but honestly haven't read a review or heard a testimonial from a friend to change our reco. We still get this as a gift!

I usually don't spend the time writing reviews of products that I have purchased, but this blanket is so wonderful that I thought my input might help another new parent. Since day one, our son has not been the "Happiest Baby on the Block!" He is 4 months now has suffered with colic and has GERD. Before a friend recommended this blanket to us, we had SO many sleepless nights with a baby crying non-stop. He would cry for hours all day and all night! I was at my wits end! When this blanket arrived, I washed it and immediately swaddled my son with it. It worked like a charm! Within a few minutes of being swaddled and rocked, he fell asleep! We purchased the blanket when he was about 2 months old and have been using it ever since. It calms him down immediately! I am actually purchasing another one today from Amazon. Since I use the blanket every night, I am finding it might be good to have a spare. Since my son has reflux, he spits up and vomits quite a bit. I am tired of washing/drying the blanket in the wee hours of the night just so he can be wrapped in it again. Since we started using the blanket, he has slept 6-8 hours straight during the night. This blanket has been a real lifesaver for us. I am a new parent who knew absolutely nothing about babies. This is by far the best baby product that we have purchased or received. I cannot recommend this blanket enough for those who have a baby that suffers from colic/reflux. For us, it truly has been a "miracle" blanket! Hope this helps!

This blanket is nice because it is a little more flexible to the size of your baby, but does not cause baby to stop fidgeting or sleep through the night as suggested... but maybe this is just my baby.

Keeps her arms from escaping, helps her stay asleep, can be warm (wish it were made of muslin, can get her feet out of the bottom, overall really happy with this product, def. serves its purpose, use for every nap and night

We've tried many different swaddle type blankets with fasteners and without. This one is by far the best! Our son is on the large size and very crafty at getting out of the other blankets. We tried this blanket last night and he slept great! He wasn't able to wiggle out, and it didn't seem like he even wanted to. A definite must-try!

The Miracle blanket is by far the best swaddle blanket ever! My son got out of all the other swaddle blankets. It got him to settle down in seconds, and sleep through the night!!! I reccomend this to every new mom I know and they end up telling everyone they know. Trust me, this is a must have!
