5.0 out of 5 stars Best Book on History of Young Harris College, November 29, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: The Miracle of Brasstown Valley (Paperback)
I attended Young Harris College, but didn't know about this book until I stumbled upon it here on Amazon. I ordered the book by former Governor Miller and was delighted to see such a comprehensive and interesting story told about a place I love.
This book is well researched and a must have for anyone interested in the history of Young Harris College (and town), and the North Georgia Mountains and region. I'm so glad that Miller wrote this book that is an excellent companion to the book written in 1986 by Mrs. Franklin about the first 100 years of YHC.

5.0 out of 5 stars The story is told so well, you just don't want the tale to end., August 26, 2009
This review is from: The Miracle of Brasstown Valley (Paperback)
I had just visited the area,August 2009, and picked up the book more as a souvenir than a serious read, but once I started reading it I just could not put it down. What a wonderful way to share a love for an area and its' people. I especially loved the references to the old ways of talking; toys will always be "play purties" to me and when I read that I knew I was reading words from a kindred spirit.
I now have to track down more books by Zell Miller so I can enjoy the region from his view.
