3.0 out of 5 stars Some good info
Contains many good ideas about foods and the possible benefits they might have.

The information is presented to the reader in a fashion that makes it feel like numerous advertisements for different cures.

This book is sort of a compilation of natural remedies taken from other similar books, with their permission of course, such as Secrets of The Chineese Herbalists, Miracle Medicine Foods, Miracle Medicine Herbs and a number of others, including some by John Heinerman. So you're getting a lot of great information from many books with out having to buy them all. Included are references to scientific studies when appropriate, written in an easy to understand style, when remedies are discussed along with many personal testimonials, which I always enjoy reading. Many if not all of the foods and herbs discussed are indeed mentioned in the Bible with numerous scriptures given where they are. There is an excellent index in the back which can be used to look up a condition and see what foods, herbs etc. can be beneficial for it or you can look up a food or herb and see a list of conditions they can be used for. This is very handy. A whole host of conditions are covered from arthrits, cancer, high blood pressure/cholestrol, ulcers, infections and many more too numerous to mention. If you are in to natural remedies this book belongs in your library.

5.0 out of 5 stars God knows more than man, April 14, 2000
By A Customer
This review is from: Miracle Food Cures from the Bible (Paperback)
Many of us have concluded that modern medicine doesn't alway have the best (or only) answers to life problems. For those of you who are looking for something better, this book may be the answer.

This book covers a wealth of information about diseases and what foods or herbs can help to heal people. It relates true cases where the natural remedies have been used successfully as well as the concerns held by the current system of medicine. Especially of interest to me are the cases of complete healing from terminal cancer as I have used herbs, etc in my own cancer treatment.

This book will make you want to do what you can to "feel better". It is exciting--especially if you are sick and the alternatives are not appealing! It will tell you how to obtain and use the foods or herbs to your advantage. When man is at the bottom of the barrel, we often look to what God has planned for us. This book may save you a lot of money and pain. Get it and read it!

5.0 out of 5 stars It REALLY works!, August 20, 2005

This review is from: Miracle Food Cures from the Bible (Paperback)
This is the most amazing herbal guide I have ever come across. Even though the cover blurbs and section titles do read somewhat like snake oil ads, the cures are bona fide. Every single remedy that I have tried has improved my day-to-day health immensely. The honey remedy for insomnia works like a charm. My sleep has been steadily improving as to length and REM content. A mixture of finely chopped apples, dates, walnuts, cinnamon and honey not only makes a delicious sweet dessert topping, but is recommended for preventing osteoporosis. The double-blind studies and copious personal accounts are what prompted me to give this a try, and I have been amply rewarded with constantly feeling better than I've ever felt in my life.

5.0 out of 5 stars A great remedy guide., March 23, 2007

This review is from: Miracle Food Cures from the Bible (Paperback)
This book has a Contents section in the front and an Index in the back making it very useful as a guide to food cures found in the Bible.
There are cautionary words and testimonials throughout the book.
I find the book is also educational in a Biblical sense. There is information on plants, herbs, oils etc..that are mentioned in Scripture.
This book has proven beneficial to me personally with the discovery of Essiac Tea and information on Saw Palmetto.
If you are looking for a guide book of natural remedies this would be a great choice! It's comprehensive and easily navigated.

4.0 out of 5 stars So full of good information you won't know where to start!, June 3, 2005

This review is from: Miracle Food Cures from the Bible (Paperback)
Within 7 days of receiving this book, I had given effective natural alternatives to 3 other people, as well as 2 in my own family...all of which worked! The peppermint oil for headaches and cole sores was unbelievably effective! Although the book could use some housekeeping in terms of organization, there is so much information I'm not sure where you would start. Although I like all the personal stories, some may tire of the third person anecdotes after awhile. What this book lacks in organization, however, it makes up for in EFFECTIVE, SOLID, BIBLICAL health advice. In a day when I am rarely impressed with a health book purchase, this comes as a very pleasant surprise. A must for anyone interested in natural healing and well being. Take Care and God Bless!

4.0 out of 5 stars Bible Food Cures, November 18, 2004
This review is from: Miracle Food Cures from the Bible (Paperback)
This is a very good book that discusses many food and herbal cures from the Old and New Testaments. It includes real-life stories, scientific studies from many sources.

"Rosemary is one of the bushes that gave shelter to the Virgin Mary in the flight into Egypt...In 1235,Queen Elizabeth of Hungary fell in love ..at 72, crippled with rhuematism and gout. Rosmary soaked in wine for 4 days and applied to her legs...cured her." page 15

You will see many amazing stories like the one above in this book. A Very Good Book!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Quality and Accuracy, September 11, 2005
This review is from: Miracle Food Cures from the Bible (Paperback)
I bought a hard back copy of this book a long time ago. I made tea out of a few of the suggested herbs, and they worked. I bought a softback copy for my mother-in-law. She made tea out of a few of the suggested herbs, and they worked. I believe that this book is a very good book for those who seriously want to make natural home remedies.
Thank You

GREAT information. Old-old remedies made with everyday foods or herbs that are non-invasive to our body. Easy to prepare, easy to use and they work. This book makes a GREAT GIFT, especially for older persons who experience a decline in their health. This book gives one an OPTION to taking prescription drug that are prescribed automatically by the medical profession. So many popular drugs today have too many side-effects. These natureal food cures do not. Use natural cures Not prescription-drugs
