For those looking for a more healthy approach to food, this book paves the way. It is filled with fact and documented support. Many hours of research and planning went into compiling the pleathra of recipes. With these one can feel assured that they are on the way to a reduced but tastie low-fat diet. My husband was diagnosed with hyperlipidemia and I went looking for recipes designed as fat-free or reduced fat. This book affords me the opportunity of cooking delicious and healthy food for him. It also gave me valuable information on how to de-fat other recipes and be able to decifer the meriad of labels now bombarding our grocery shelves. It should be on the shelf and used by every serious cook around.

a diet i can live with, lose with , and afford! this veggies based diet also is easy on the wallet. I have used this for about 6 months and have lost about 20 pounds. And feel great! so you eat potatoes, grains, brown rice and beans for the basic foundation foods and add all the veggies and fruits you can. Without counting calories i enjoyed eating as much of this food as i wanted. I wasn't hungry and lost weight. And saved money. It is a low fat diet which is good for the health.
the recipes are tasty without fat and pretty easy to cook. my favorite is the creamy potato soup. I served it to my family and they loved it
This book is one of my few cookbooks that i refer to frequently. The seasonings and flavorings are mostly spices that are in my kitchen.
this is a companion book to the Miracle Diet. That book explains the science that supports the diet. I recommend both. The diet book shows easy ways to "cook" with microwave directions. I found I got a bit bored without the cookbook but it was good to know I could eat without cooking a lot.
Both books form a workable and pleasant diet that works. a.nd can be a life change a new way for me to eat
