Miracle LED recessed bulb,

There just OK. They say equivalent to 100 watt bulb but trust me there not more like a 60 watt. They are very small so they look funny in the recessed cans. They do only pull 1 watt though. So if you don't need a real bright bulb they will save you money on you electric bill.

As a first foray into the world of LED lighting, I have mixed feelings about this one. For the most part, I love it. The light it puts out is a cool white, and it's more like a 40-watt equivalent than the advertised 100 W, or the 60 W another commenter posted. However, compared to the $20-30 most brick-and-mortars want to charge for a single bulb, this is a good deal. It definitely works better in some sort of directional / canned / funneled light socket. The power draw on these makes me feel kinda dirty for using CFLs, too. Unfortunately, LEDs are still pricey. I'll be testing out a few more from various manufacturers to find the right fit for me, but these are definitely worth it.

I ordered these bulbs in September, 2010. As of January 2011, one has already gone dead. Choose another brand.

Good power saver,

These lamps work as reported, a little less light than a 65 watt incandescent bulb, but probably adequate. A tradeoff that we have made to save the electricity.
The bulbs are quite a bit shorter than a standard bulb. If you are using them in a recessed fixture, I recommend purchasing a socket extender (such as Westinghouse 22150 MED/MED PORCLN SKT EXTENDER) to bring the slight source to the same point in the fixture can as the original bulb.

Much much brighter than the 3.5W Led recess light from Lights of America that I purchased from Costco. So far I have already bought 5 sets and planning to have more.

We used these to replace the halogens in our range hood. Same amount of light using 1/10 the power. Would have given 5 stars, but the color temp is not as warm as listed. We leave the hood lights on all the time, so this should save a lot of money. What's not to love.

bright but very directional light,

these bulbs use very little electricity as one would expect from an LCD light bulb. Before buying these, please be aware of two issues: first, the light is very cold bluish type of light. And second, these are very directional - kind of like a spotlight. They do not do a good job of lighting a whole room, rather they make a good task light or reading light, if they are shining right on your book. I am using one in the kitchen shine on the sink when I do dishes and another next to my couch as a reading light.

If these LED lamps do consume about 1.3 watt of power, their light output would be no more than 100 lumens -- assuming they are using high quality LEDs. A 100 watt incandescent lamp produces 1750 lumens of light. A 40 watt lamp produces 500 lumens. And a 25 watt incandescent lamp puts out more than 200 lumens.
These LED lamps produce less than half the light output of a 25-watt lamp. So don't think for a minute that they provide any Miracle. By the way, a decent 60-watt equivalent LED lamp will produce about 800 lumens of output.

The light is good, but the Lumens may be misleading, the light waves are in a bandwidth of blueish color and the light seams too bright for the eyes and me and quests say it hurts their eyes and gives them head aches.I tried putting the light in my living room and bedroom, but the LED light is to weird on the eyes, the only spot that it is a good spot is in my stair well because it shines directly on the stairs,It is great for that, but nothing eles. The light is more of a spot light, not a light that shines the light in all directions.
