. Following a highly successful investment career, Haas chose to reinvent himself as an artist, ultimately becoming one of the world's most renowned aerial photographers. The author has published a series of photographic books on African wildlife and four collections of aerial photography distributed by National Geographic: the best-selling Through the Eyes of the Gods: An Aerial Vision of Africa
(2005), Through the Eyes of the Condor: An Aerial Vision of Latin America
(2007), I Dreamed of Flying Like a Bird

Haas's photographs have appeared in major exhibits throughout the world, and his work has been featured on CBS News Sunday Morning, ABC News Nature's Edge, CNN and in National Geographic magazine, Time magazine, Forbes Life, and numerous other publications.
A graduate of Yale University and Harvard Law School, Haas has lectured frequently at both universities. He lives in Dallas, Texas, with his wife and six dogs. His three grown daughters have often accompanied him on his photographic travels.
