Although this sound track does have "The Reaper" by Blue Oyster Cult, which is a good song. The best song in the movie was at the end when the U.S. wins the gold and they play Aerosmith's "Dream On" but "Dream On" isn't on this CD!!! :(

If you love the movie "Miracle," then you'll definitely enjoy the soundtrack. My favorite tracks are #1-4, the music actually written for the movie. The themes perfectly fit the scenes they were written for, and the orchestra did a wonderful job (great trumpet and clarinet solos!) The CD is well-done. The sound is clear, the music is in the order it was played in the movie, and I like the way it flows nicely- there aren't big gaps of silence between the different pieces of music. At the end, they have a bonus of three songs (#5-7) that I guess were popular back then; they were played as background music to some scenes in the movie. So it's kind of interesting to get to hear those too. Like I said, if you love the movie, I definitely recommend the soundtrack CD.

Always been a fan of hockey, and throughout the whole movie loved the music. Kind of sent chills down your spine and goosebumps on your arms from how good it was, yet you would think they would have added Dream On by Aerosmith due to only having 7 songs. 4 out of 5 stars.

A great movie, with great music, and great script. Casting was superb.

I watch this with my 8 year old grandson who is empowered by its magic and miracle.

I just jumped on net to order soundtrack and found that Dream On is missing. What a tradegy to cheat the public of such a song that was the eternal identifier and the guts of the movie.

Somebody screwed up. Where are they working now?

Bill

The original score was beautiful and certainly fitted the movie, but I was disappointed that the creators didn't include the final credits song by Aerosmith.

I will listen to this on repeat and never get sick of it. It is - for lack of a better term - majestic and emotional, and even if you haven't seen Miracle, the soundtrack alone gives you a REALLY good idea of what's going on, and takes you through the US's journey of training, hardship, and ultimate victory. Job bloody well done, Mr. Isham.

That being said, it irks me that some of the score didn't make the official soundtrack. I was almost certain that the music from when O'Callahan drops his gloves and goes at it with McClanahan would make the soundtrack, as would the music from some of the games and the photograph scene/Herb and Patti argument scene, but evidently it didn't. Mr. Isham, if for some reason you ever decide to do a re-release of this soundtrack, could you please include ALL of the music?

I am no expert on music; however, I believe that this soundtrack was a good one. I can listen to all 7 songs, I agree with the rest of you that there should be an 8th in the form of Aerosmith's "Dream On." I absolutely love this movie and the music to it. If you love the movie then you need to have this soundtrack.

Another very hard to find OST that is mostly motion picture score written and performed exclusively for the movie. A couple of old songs heard during the movie are included. This score by Mark Isham is probably the most uplifting and inspiring epic music I know of, as is the movie itself.
