But Steve must return to his child patients to heal completely, and Meghan knows that if she leaves Renaissance to follow, she'll lose her memories of the village—and Steve—forever, despite the village leader's exhortation to believe in "faith and trust." I'm southern by adoption. I was born and raised in Upstate NY, but when the cold weather, snow and ice became more than either my hubby or I wanted to endure yearly, we migrated to Florida. We now live not far from one of the most fascinating cities in the US -- our adopted hometown of St. Augustine, the oldest city in the US. When my creative writing juices dry up, a trip to the the Ancient City section of St. Augustine never fails to get them flowing again.

Elizabeth Sinclair tackles tough subjects in this romantic fantasy, and doesn't pull back on the emotional impact of dealing with terminal illness or its effects. I loved this book for its honesty and its hope. And I hope the author does more books in this amazing village!

I hope Ms. Sinclair publishes a sequel to this story. Few books hold me as this one did. This story is about faith, hope, and redemption, and a happy-ending romance, too. I strongly recommend it.
