If this is the original 1950s B & W 'miracle of saint therese' then it is indeed a miracle of pious catholic filmmaking on the greatest saint of modern times. the script is half taken from the writings of therese and her fellow nuns so it is as authentic a record as you can expect from film. the dubbed actors are excellent, and the actresses who play Therese and Pauline are dead ringers for the actual Martin sisters. Any devout catholic should see this video repeatedly. it will build your faith and your understanding of the spiritual journey, especially the dark night of the soul. see this video and learn vividly the power of the communion of saints.

if this is the modern color french movie of 1980 on saint therese called 'therese', then it is interesting, but rather murky. the modern film doesn't really tell you anything about the real therese, nor does it give you any clue why she is a saint.
