Okay so before I review this product, let me tell you what kind of hair I have. I'm Asian and I wasn't blessed with silky, straight hair like many other Asians. My dad even recently asked me why my hair isn't silky or shiny. Nice, huh? Like I haven't tried to make it look fabulous. I have coarse, thick, wavy, very frizzy hair with dry ends. My hair poufs out when there's even a tiny bit of humidity. I've tried numerous types of hair care products, high-end products to brands from the drugstore. Serums, oils, creams, mousses, shine sprays, gels, pomades, etc. I even have the regular It's a 10 Miracle Spray which didn't really work for me.
So finally, here's my review. I LOVE this serum! It leaves my hair frizz-free. It leaves my waves bouncy and defined. Here's what I do. After I get out of the shower, I wrap my hair in a microfiber hair turban. When I let my hair down, I comb my hair to make sure there are no tangles. I then split my hair up into two sections. One on the left and one on the right. I do two pumps, rub the serum between my palms and run it through one section from halfway up my hair down to the ends. I concentrate most of it on the ends. I do the same on the other side. I then pump it one more time and distribute it all over my hair. The amount you use may be different from me since I have pretty thick hair. Then I put my hair up in a bun, rotating my hair counterclockwise. I don't know why that matters, but it does. I used to put it up clockwise and it would leave weird dents in my hair. I've noticed with my hair, counterclockwise makes my waves look much better. I keep my bun up with one or two butterfly clips. I take it down and my hair is gloriously wavy!
I haven't tried the serum with straightening because frankly, it's summertime and I don't want to deal with the heat from the hair dryer. We'll see how that works another time. In the meantime, I'm enjoying my frizz-free hair. Finally! I no longer look like I stuck a fork into an electrical outlet. That makes me happy. :)
