5.0 out of 5 stars Good, quick read - packed with info. and examples of use
I think my title just about says it all -- enough to say that I did go out and get some blue-green algae!! It DOES make you feel more alert!

I am a great Gillian Mckeith fan and buy all her books. This is a very thin book with some useful information, but nothing you cannot find for free on the internet.

I have been taking Blue/Green Algae for sometime and was expecting to learn something new from this book. I do not think it is worth a total of close to $8 (including shipping) when the information is so freely available.
I am sorry Gillian only 3 stars for this one.

5.0 out of 5 stars Mybee the future Utopia concerning eating and health, May 16, 2011

Of the around 300 book concerning health and body which I owe around 40 of these are Keats health guides and the Basic Health Publications, but it's the first time I write a recommendation for one of these even though I like all of these 40.

And I like much more to own books on not to many sides about single items, for using like a lexica, than going to Google, because it are easier again and again to find the same details, as I in the books use speed marcher, than it's again and again find the same small details in Google concerning for example minerals.

And especially I like to take with me one or two of the small books when I have to sit 1 hour in the airplane on the traveling to Bangkok for visiting the doctor there. Or when going to a local doctor and sitting waiting by him. This because my wife have to carry the books in here small bag as I can not yet use the right arm.

This book is good and interesting by for example in the start of the book to tell the story about the problem she had missing Zink, which she could realize was the case by the small white specks on fingernails. And how she without success tried many different ways until she by an "accident" found out to try by taking Blue-Green Algae. And then as this solved here problem put here much into interest in learning about Algae's and then now a days advises here patients. And it's interesting reading about the many patient cases.

And after the atomic problem we had in Japan here 2 month ago it's also very interesting in this book to read that in Russia after the atomic catastrophe by Chernobyl they gave these algae to the peoples working there. And besides it also interesting in connection to the cancer problem.

In any case after having read the book I'll try to see if I can get pills with these Blue-Green Algae and then over some month try them on myself and my wife. And when going in restaurant then sometimes look after food containing Algae.

Once you read it, you'll want to take the algae. I've been taking it for almost 10 months now. I see improvements, but not to the point where it fixes every problems I have. because I still have candidiasis in my system so I don't think I'm absorbing the nutrients as well as other might. Following Natalie Ross Detox for women really helps improved my overall health.

I discovered Gillian Mckeith on BBC on her show You Are What You Eat and have been a fan ever since. I am a diabetic and try to eat healthy and also cook healthier meals for my family. Dr. McKeith tells it like it is and also keeps things simple. It is amazing how many processed foods are out there and that we do not get all the vitamins and minerals we need. She keeps things natural, simple and easy. And with busy schedules easy is the way to go.
