Book Description

June 22, 2005
"Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits" - I Timothy 4:1

We hear more and more about miraculous events. Inspirational religious leaders draw thousands with promises of healing and deliverance.

The Bible says that as we approach the last days right before the Second Coming of Jesus Christ, people will allow themselves to be deceived by agents of Satan that present magic events as miracles. With counterfeit spirituality on the rise, how can we discern what is from God and what is from the devil?

Spiritual discernment is needed to see God clearly and recognize increasingly clever deceptions that masquerade in His name. In his captivating book Miracles or Magic?, Roybal provides a sound Biblical, historical and scientific analysis for a unique, comprehensive understanding of this controversial topic. He offers practical advice and encouragement to keep one's spiritual journey on track, and inspires loving but revolutionary changes to the world around them. The book includes a detailed Appendix with views on tongues and healings from key Christian leaders and denominations throughout church history.

As spiritual deception in this world rapidly increases, this book is a must read for both Christians and non-Christians!

5.0 out of 5 stars Tells it like it is, September 12, 2009
By
Kae Sydow (Los Angeles, CA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Miracles or Magic? (Paperback)
In a society where many claim truth is relative and our focus is regrettably on the trendy, superficial, and politically correct, the author of 'Miracles or Magic?' has boldly taken on a very controversial subject and shed light on an issue where many face delusion and end up getting lost in a maze of false information. This author has clearly done his research and presents the material in a straightforward and easy to understand manner. It's also an interesting read which held my attention throughout, and contains several fascinating appendices, such as time lines of claimed miracles throughout history, including present day. Whether you're a believer who desires to be more informed on this subject or someone who is fascinated by the supernatural, this book is a vital addition to your book collection.

5.0 out of 5 stars Miracles or Magic?, January 7, 2006
This review is from: Miracles or Magic? (Paperback)
Rory Roybal's book has come at a time when the world really needs to read it. Powerful leaders are spouting religious miracles and gifts given by the Holy Spirit...but, are they real, or counterfeit designed to control the minds of the people? Mr. Roybal's book is a concise, well written book that helps both Christian's and non-Christians alike avoid the cult-like traps set in the name of the Lord. In today's world there are many churches and people using "smoke and magic" to induce people to follow their own particular church doctrines. The words of the Bible can be twisted to protray what these so called spiritual reverands want their people to believe. Miracles or Magic? will assist and encourage a spiritual journey into God's word with an amazing clarity and pureness of spirit!
