• Network from Your Desktop Miramar Systems's integration technology allows Windows 95/98 PCs to share files, drives, and printers with Macs on your local area network. Windows 95/98 PCs access Mac resources directly through Network Neighborhood, while Macs view PC drives via the Chooser. PC MACLAN's print services also permit your Windows 95/98 PC to print to any AppleTalk printer as if it were locally connected.
• Global Internet Access PC MACLAN for Windows 95/98 includes support for IP (Internet Protocol), giving your Windows 95/98 PC access to any AppleShare IP Server in your office, a branch office on your Wide Area Network (WAN), or anywhere worldwide via the Internet.
• Phone In Your Files PC MACLAN for Windows 95/98 combines standard phone lines and modem technology to create a resource for remote network connectivity. Windows 95/98 and Mac OS machines share and print files, and access drives and printers in both directions. Dial into an Apple Remote Access (ARA 3.0) or compatible server, such as Shiva LanRover/2E or Sonic QuickStream Pro 3, and access any of the AppleTalk devices on the network.

PC MACLAN for Windows 95/98 also includes a utility to simplify your cross-platform networking needs. Gator Pro is a network investigation utility enabling you to locate and display all of the AppleTalk resources located on your network. PC MACLAN is also expandable to include its new plug-in PC Migrator. This PC-based file-moving and renaming tool makes file transfers seamless. This utility lets users perform global file renames, add DOS extensions, remove illegal characters, and more, for faster, more efficient Mac to PC file transfers and Mac migrations.

PC Maclan 7.2 has enabled me to get the most value out of my cross platform hardware. It shared all of my printers both Postscript and PCL with either Mac or PC. The technical Support was incredibly helpful and even assisted me with non-related Windows problems. I just recently took advantage of their upgrade path to Windows 2000 and ther new version 8.1 screams in performance and ease of use. I also used their new product Desktop DNA to migrate my settings and Apps from my old Win 98 PC to the new Sony VAIO Win2000 PC. Kudos to Miramar for the quality of PCMaclan and Desktop DNA

I noticed a bit of slowing in all ethernet related operations but is wasn't bad.
