A nice Vacation for the Brain,
This review is from: Miranda (Springwater Seasons) (Paperback)
This whole series of books was a nice vacation for the brain. When you're tired of hearing about tragedies and violence and worst possible scenarios, when you've used your brain all day and just need a little quiet time, these are just what the doctor orderred. They are broken down into tiny little books, too, so you can begin and finish them in an afternoon. No high-brow intellectual stimulation, but better than the TV soap-opera drivel. Check them out they're fun!

LLM books are always a joy to read. This is no exception.,

I love when Ms. Miller writes a "series" book. Her "Vampire" and "Corbin" series were wonderful. I always waited for the next books. This "Springwater" series is in that same tradition. It has exceptional storytelling, excellent writing, and wonderful characters. The only fault I find with it is in presentation. Why couldn't this be one book instead of four? If she wants the series to continue indefinitly, she could have written it in the style of the popular "Outlander" series by Diana Gabaldon. This will not prevent me from getting hooked and reading all in the series. They are too good to miss!

I had read the other books in the series and LOVED them. But this one was lacking alot. You never felt like these characters connected at all. You kept waiting for the love that the other books had and this one just didn't have it. I hope the next one is better.

Worst story in the series!,

Miranda deserved better than this! Why did Landry have to pine away for his wife the way that he did? It made Miranda seem like trash and a little beggar. I was really disappointed with this story, as the others have been very intriguing and romantic. I hope JESSICA is much better.

Loved it!,
This review is from: Miranda (Springwater Seasons) (Paperback)
Contrary to popular belief, this was an adorable romance that started off slowly but ended strong. In this story we are introduced to the third woman in this series, Miranda (she was the girl who had the illegitimate baby in "Rachel"). Although i'm not fond of stories which are classified as Marriage of convience, this was an exception. Miranda is proposed to by Landry Kildare who is raising two boys alone without the help of his late wife. You can't help but fall in love with pair, especially when Miranda's boyfriend comes back to claim his child and the big shoot out begins. This is in no way a sensual romance but, it does have one sentimental love scene. This was is a very good book for the kindred soul so pick it up!

Another story set in Springwater, Montana, Linda Lael Miller writes of a young, abandoned mother who happened upon this friendly town by mere chance. Alone, except for her newborn son and no husband, she is quickly befriended.
Then she meets him...a young, handsome, widowed rancher who's trying to raise two very unruly, wild young boys. She's quickly taken by him and accepts an offer she can't possibly refuse in her situation...a marriage of convenience. He isn't prepared for her sweet nature, or to give up the memory of his beloved wife, but he is quickly drawn in, wanting to share everything with her, not just his name and his home. But will she accept more him than just a marriage of convenience? I couldn't wait to finish this great read and find out if this marriage of convenience could be more! I was quickly drawn in to the story and felt apart of the characters' lives and homes! Wonderfully written and five star praises to a great author!

I've been waiting for a "bad guy" to appear in this series. I said in my last review that we haven't had any trouble with outlaws or anything like that in this series but we finally did in this book.
At the opening of the book you see Landry asking Miranda to marry her. He's offering a marriage of convenience because he needs a mother for his children & she has a new baby out of wedlock. She agrees & this book leaves you watching the love gradually build between them. I really enjoyed this book. I do have to say though that I didn't like the butchering of the pig talk & what they do with the insides of the head but other then the part I loved the book. This is the 4th book in this series. #1 Springwater #2 Rachel #3 Savannah #4 Miranda.

I love the series, I love her, but I didn't love this book..,

It started out good and I think it had a wonderful chance of being a sweet, sensitive, and heartening story, but it seemed to me as though it were rushed. One minute Landry would never forget his wife and the next he says he loves Miranda. It just didn't seem to me as though the time was taken to give them a whole and complete bond like the other books in the series developed.

Entertaining western romance,
By A Customer
This review is from: Miranda (Springwater Seasons) (Paperback)
In the 1880's, Miranda Landry gave herself to the stage coach scout in good faith, assuming that they would marry when they reached the next town. Instead, his spouse lovingly greets him in front of the entire town. When Miranda and her baby arrive in Sweetwater, Montana, the McCaffrey's, managers of the local stagecoach stop, adopt them. Not soon after that, local rancher Landry Kildare asks Miranda to marry him in order to help the illegitimate mother raise his two small boys. Miranda agrees to a marriage of convenience and soon the duo weds. However, neither one anticipated love would enter the equation, especially since he feels he is betraying his deceased first wife by caring for Miranda. The third installment in the "Spring Water Seasons" series is an entertaining and uplifting tale. Linda Lael Miller knows how to scribe a fun western romance that leaves her fans fully satisfied. Miranda is a spirited female who holds her head up high regardless of the finger pointing. Landry is a gallant man, who casts no guilt towards his beloved wife and cherished, adopted child.
