5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent product
If you have a Porter Cable sander with hoook and loop fastening this paper is for you. It is a cut above what you get from PC. It lasts longer and cuts faster from the start. Of course you will still have to change it to sand efficiently but not as often. At this price you can get several boxes in different grits and you'll be good to go for any sanding project.

5.0 out of 5 stars The best you can buy, July 10, 2003

(REAL NAME)
I've just sanded down my front door which had several layers of varnish covering it. I only used one disc which tackled the door effortlessly when it was combined with the Porter Cable 333VS. This is the best sanding disk I've used so far, I've used many others but these last much longer and show few signs of wearing through. If you're looking for quality, buy these!

I wrote this review nearly 5 years ago and even though I've tried other brands with varying grits since, I always come back to this brand. Generally I take a look around from time to time to see if there's anything better but there's nothing out there so far. I'm happy to stand by my 5 star rating.

This is better than the "other guys" sandpaper. It is very durable and 1 sheet alone will last and last.

5.0 out of 5 stars Smooth Review, July 8, 2008
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I purchased this paper based on other reviews and the excellent price and although I haven't used it much (I am finishing up my other sandpaper), I have used a couple to try them out. So far I am very impressed and will continue to purchase this brand in all grits. You can't beat the price and the quality is at least acceptable and I may find it to be exceptional as I use it more.

1.0 out of 5 stars poor quality, December 10, 2010
These sanding pads wear out very quickly, twice as fast as the home depot ones. Better to get the more expensive ones at home depot, better quality. Written by a contractor. Not worth getting.

3M has stopped making these in 60 grit, so my wholesale suppliers no longer stock it. The local hardware store sells them, in their brand, for a buck a piece in 5 packs. Who can afford to pay a buck for each disk? This is a great solution and once again, I am impressed with the items I can find and the prices available through Amazon.com

4.0 out of 5 stars Sanding discs do a good job, November 30, 2008

This review is from: Mirka 23-614-150 5" 5-Hole 150 Grit Dustless Hook & Loop Sanding Discs - 50 Pack (Tools & Home Improvement)
I use these Mirka discs on a Porter Cable variable speed orbital sander. The hook and loop work well and the disc stays in place. I am a cabinetmaker as a hobby and work with cherry and walnut. The discs sand well and wear well. AS they lost their edge I have used them as finer sanding grits and they seem to do the job well.
Of course, nothing beats new paper for a job so if I need 150 grit, out comes a new disc.

4.0 out of 5 stars sandpaper, August 22, 2007
I have always used this paper, it lasts very well and is easy to use.
My only complaint was the shipping / packaging. This was shipped through the US mail and in their infinate wisdom the rural carrier hung the package on my mailbox in a plastic bag in the rain. The bag did a fine job of filling with water and soaking through all the contents, thankfully this is hook&loop paper so it seems to be still ok, although a bit wrinkled. Waterproof inner packaging would be a good idea.
