I build Western Red Cedar outdoor furniture and needed a good sander and sandpaper that would hold up to all day usage. I purchased the variety pack and find that all grades of paper to solve my everyday needs for finishing my chairs. I've tried other brands and they all seemed to evaporate quickly. I find the Mirka discs to be of good quality and their longevity is impressive enough for me to buy them again.

Mirka paper is not only the quality choice; it is also a bargain at Amazon prices. I had previously purchased a full box of Mirka paper for my 6" sander, in the most popular grades. Have since done a lot of sanding with it. This brand of sandpaper is great. It is aluminum oxide which lasts and lasts. Additionally the backing pad is made from thick material, so it holds up well, and won't bugger the edges of your sander.
I had a body shop for twenty years, and came to realize the advantage of quality sandpaper. The cheap stuff does not hold up. You will go through a zillion sheets of paper, and will actually cost you more because of it. The Mirka paper lasts so long, that I wind up with a used stack. By the time it is to change to a different grit, the existing piece isn't worn out yet, so I keep them.
I went into Home Depot and checked out the Norton paper, I wasn't impressed. It also costs less per box, but they only give you 25 sheets instead of 50 like these Mirka boxes. So you get twice as many sheets here for only half again as much money. Not only is it a bargain up front, then the paper lasts a lot longer, not to mention the superior job it produces. You can't beat that.

All I use is mirka sandpaper and I have always had good luck with the hook & loop staying on. When I find that it is not staying on, it's time to replace the hook&loop pad because they do wear out.

This paper works great on my Porter Cable sander; it stays put, and it really holds up to a lot of use. Like others, I find myself changing grit before the paper wears out, so I end up with a stack of still useable paper. Good paper, good price.

Never had a problem with the pads staying on. My sander is just under a year old so I suspect that over the years the base pad may wear down if there are problems with the Sandpaper staying attached.

This has been the best I have used. It will outlast 3m by 2 to 1. I highly recommend it.

I also had problems with these staying on my Porter Cable Sander. These are the first I've had come off since I've had the sander(at least three years). I was going to order a new base but I guess I should try another brand first.

With all the different grits included in this pack,it make wood projects start to finish so easy. The durability of the discs themselves out lasts other similar products. Have recommended to friends.

Seems to be quality paper. Haven't used this for long but so far I'm very happy. Much better than the local, high priced chain store.
