I wasn't quite sure about getting this book. Since the game is very short, and not much to it. But I am really glad I got it, it's really thin but jam packed with goodies and art work. The art work and drawings and what not, were my favorite. And it has extra stuff, like little things like how the creators got started. Pictures of the missons and the little time trail thingts. A very nice purchase. I don't regret buying it.

I normally do not require a game guide, or strategy guide, to play a video but I was having a problem on one of the levels and decided to get this guide. I can honestly say that I am very pleased with this book! Some may say that it is like all the other game guides out there and some may say that it is excellent. Well I am one of those who think that this guide is excellent!
The book has a chapter by chapter walk through of each level. Once you hit a check point in the level that you are on, it continues to tell you how to do something. The great things about this guide is that not only does it actually help you but it also has expert ways of doing something to save time or so you don't get killed. It also gives you cautions through out each level too. (As in what to avoid and what not)
Besides this guide helping you through your first run of the game, this book also has beautiful screen shots of the game, a chapter on training, character profiles that also includes the enemies, time trail stretches, quick reference (includes the trophies you can earn), and a behind the look at Mirror's Edge and the Dice Studio. At the very end of the guide is the concept art of the game.
The game is beautifully done with amazing graphics, which is what the screen captures and the concept art show you. This is one guide that will entertain you for a couple of hours even if it does not help you make it through the game.

Very beautiful and intelligently done., August 3, 2010

Believe it or not, i thought this would be a normal guide, but i was wrong, it has alot of extra's including pictures,interviews, even Artwork. Also it helps you to get past certain hard areas in the game, with a map and steps on the right panel. Also it has detailed steps on helping pass the time trials which are difficult unless you have a guide like this. I really have to commend and thank Prima for doing an excellent job this time with Mirrors Edge, it was not ordinary, and it was not even special edition, but it was written, and beautifully executed like it was.
