From the moment on I've saw the biographical film of her I needed to buy a album. I guessed that the '17 exitos' not could be a mistake - and it wasn't. It is a different, it's texmex. When you're not used to this music it is a little bit strange, but you will like it every time more when listening. It's a pity that she was murdered, look to the big success of Ricky Martin, Shakira and many other latin singers - the world lost a voice.

So You are looking for a Selena Compilation to purchase?...Yes, there are many of them, too many, and a Guy can get confused, especially if He "discovered" Selena through Jennifer Lopez in the Movie, or Heard "Dreaming of You" and "I could fall in Love" after Her Murder in 1995...I have owned several "Best of's" Myself, but this One is Far and away the best of them all! After hearing the Songs here, You will realize that the above 2 mentioned Tunes are simply Ok, but Selena's Magic lies in Tejano, including the first 5 Songs on this Disc, "La Tracalera", "Carcacha", and many more...Don't bother with the other Compilations, they are Fine, but this is a Screaming BUY!

This is one of my favorite cds I listen to it every chance I get because I go to school and If I didn't have school I would listen to it all day and all night that how much I love Selena music. Well I hve to go. Viva Selena

I love Selena's music; all of it! She had so much talent and was such a special person, as well. She could sing any style of music and do it so well. I have all her CD's as well as her videos, and most of her pictures. But, then again, so do millions of persons. Her music was sung from the heart and you can tell that she totally loved and enjoyed performing. Her songs kind of hit soft spots in all of us. We have lost a great young lady with such exceptional talent.

after hearing all the Anglicized versions of a lot of these songs. It is also a shock for those not used to real Tejano, as most of the songs on this CD are...someone once described Tejano as "polka with Spanish lyrics," and they weren't far off the mark. This CD goes along nicely with Todos Mis Exitos and Todos Mis Exitos II as Selena primers, for those who have never heard any Selena at all. The songs I love on this CD are "Costumbres," "No Quiero Saber," "Yo Fui Aquella" (which is a real shocker if you've only heard the version on Anthology, as I had before buying this CD--you will not expect this!), "Besitos," "Mentiras," "Tú Eres," and a sweet Spanish version of "Sukiyaki." If you like Selena and want to know what music she did before "Dreaming Of You," BUY THIS CD!! I love it :)

This is my favorite compilation CD of Selena's. It combines several big hits like "Como La Flor," "La Carcacha," and "Baila Esta Cumbia" with a great combination of other hits in the tejano market. If you want to get a broad sampling of all of Selena's types of music styles,(tejano, cumbia, mariachi) this is the CD for you!

Even 13 years after her death, I am still a HUGE Selena fan. This album was released back in 1993. While not long signing with EMI Latin in 1989. Selena already had 3 solid albums under her belt, 1989's Selena,1990's Ven Conmigo,and 1992's Entre A Mi Mundo. This album shows how much Selena was so talented. This also happens to be her first Greatest Hits before the 1995 tragedy. It includes the hits(at the time)Como La Flor,La Carcacha,Sukiyaki,Baila Esta Cumbia,and many more. At the time I purchased this, Selena was on top of the world and still had more to come her way. Later in 1993, she would release her Grammy winning "Live" album and in 1994 her smash blockbuster album "Amor Prohibido". Sadly, Selena would not be able to see her first steps in the English market with the release of the 1995 album "Dreaming Of You". Released approx. 6 months after her death. If you want to see what Selena's music was like prior to 1993, Make sure you pick this album up!

Love this CD. The only thing I don't like, and I can't figure this one out, why does every Selena CD have that song, "Que Creias" on it? I mean its on EVERY single CD. I really don't like that song at all. It takes the space of what could be a good song on the CD. How many times does one song have to be on every single thing? And "Sukiyaki", not one her best, but its on several of her CDs. Why? Filler, perhaps? But the rest of the CD, great song after another. Really love this. Wish I could burn my own CD and I would cut out the aforementioned songs, so I could listen to the CD without worrying about when those songs will come up. However, despite those two songs, I listen to this CD several times a week, along with some of her other ones I own. And I might add, I have the same complaint about them, also, always "Que Creias" or some "filler" song that could of been left off for something so much better. I would recommend this CD to anyone who wants to hear some really good music.

I admit I speak no Spanish, I only know a few words in Spanish though. Even though I do not understand what Selena is singing in this album I still love it! Como La Flor is my favorite song! It feels weird listening to Selena when she's not here but she's here in a way. I still love Selena! I loved her since the Selena movie came out! Anyways, I recommend you buy this C.D. today! You'll cherrish it always!

One of Selena's best recordings from the beginning of 'Como la flor' to the end of 'La tracalera' you are truly in music heaven. My favourites are 'Mentiras', 'Costumbres', Yo fui aquella', 'No quiero saber' and 'Yo me voy'. If you don't already have it, Buy this now! That's all i have to say. BYE!
