Author of MATERNAL MEANDERINGS says,"This is fabulous fun!",
By Diane Dean-Epps (Grass Valley, California) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Misadventures of Moms and Disasters of Dads (Paperback)
How absolutely fantastic to have these wonderful slice-of-life, anecdotal parenting experiences edited so beautifully into a book that even has an exquisitely designed front cover. Adding to the entertainment that this comprehensive humor package provides is the fact that proceeds from the sale of each book will go to breast cancer research. Humor that delivers AND a social conscience. Now THAT'S good stuff. Forget those "how to" parenting books and come on over to the funny side with MISADVENTURES OF MOMS and DISASTERS OF DADS. It'll be the only regret you'll never have!

Laugh Yourself Out of the Parent Trap!,
By Jeanne Knudsen (Ridge, Long Island, New York) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Misadventures of Moms and Disasters of Dads (Paperback)
This anthology of real-life parenting experiences is a wonderful book. As a mother of four boys I enjoyed reading about how other parents deal with potty training, sickness, birthday parties and laundry. Apparently they use HUMOR because this book had me laughing out loud! Buy it, read it, share this book with other parents.

Got Kids? You gotta read this book!,

This review is from: Misadventures of Moms and Disasters of Dads (Paperback)
After a long day of being a stay-at-home mom, you would think the last thing I would want to do is read a book about parenthood. But these stories are a great reminder of how precious our children really are and why I left the workforce in the first place to be home with them. Very funny!

A delightful rendition of parents true thoughts of the joy and mishaps of raising children. Great easy read, especially for those times when you think only your children could create such havoc. It's nice to know others experience similar 'fun' of parenting.

This is a true to life account of some of the funny experienceswe have all experienced with our children. I laughed out loud while reading many of the essays in this book. It brought back memories of the years I spent raising my five children. A book any parent or grandparent will enjoy reading.

This is reality!! Misadventures is full of real life accounts of hilarious mishaps that real families experience! I love the short story format, its just enough to unwind after the kids go to bed, or down for a nap. The stories will make you laugh and smile, and will remind us all why we keep coming back for more!

A must read for couples considering parenthood.,
By A Customer
This review is from: Misadventures of Moms and Disasters of Dads (Paperback)
This book is a must read for couples considering parenthood! Children are, indeed, a gift from God but the reality of their being in one's life is something else all together. This book gives prospective parents a sneak preview of what their lives are about to become when a child becomes part of it. The misadventures and disasters make you smile in spite of the serious nature of some of them. I couldn't put the book down once I started. The stories are written by everyday Moms and Dads. I was amazed that most of them had more than one child. None were discouraged with whatever story they were telling. They just wanted prospective parents to be aware of some of the possibilities that will more than likely arise when a child enters your life. Can't wait for the sequel!

I can relate to the stories in this book...,
By Jamy B. O'Rourke (Cedarhurst, NY USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Misadventures of Moms and Disasters of Dads (Paperback)
My children are 5, 4 and 2 and I can relate to many of the hysterical stories in this great book. I bought this book for myself because I thought it would be fun to read about adventures (misadventures) of other parents. When I got the book, I thought that it would make a great baby shower gift, too. Share this book with anyone who loves children - they'll thank you for it!

MUST READ TO KEEP YOURSELF SANE,
This review is from: Misadventures of Moms and Disasters of Dads (Paperback)
I am the mother of 4 children ranging in age from 15 to 8. The only way to retain my sanity and keep perspective is to find other parents who've "been there and done that" and found the humor in the most unusual or mundane circumstances. Misadventures of Moms and Disasters of Dads is the perfect book to relieve my stress and to make me remember that parenting is not only challenging, but down right hysterical! I read a story or two before bed to give myself another perspective on my crazy day!
