This Is Hell, or TIH for short, are a Long Island, New York-based hardcore punk band. The band formed from members of Long Island acts Scraps And Heart Attacks and The Backup Plan when both broke up and went on unofficial hiatus in the summer of 2004. The band quickly self-released a four song demo EP and followed it up with another EP the following summer on Long Island record label State of Mind Recordings. They toured nationally with Bane in the summer of 2006. In early March of '07, TIH toured around all of North America with the established Winnipeg Hardcore Band Comeback Kid. This Is Hell was Awarded the Title of " 2007 Strongest Band Of The Year" l while on tour with Comeback Kid, Endwell, It Dies Today and Parkway Drive. This award was received due to their rigorous pre-show workout routines. 13 tracks. Trustkill Records. 2008.

Rhode island's this is hell serve up another fast and heavy record on their sophomore album "misfortunes".its everything as good as "sundowning",but this time around,the tone is much heavier and more grittier than their previous record.its as heavy as it is emotional,and if you like your punk hard and fast than you will love this cd.catchy,fast,and down-right awesome,this is hell is one of those hardcore bands that are definitely leading the pack of imitators.check this album out.
