Overall, this is fun to play, but it's a bit short - it took me about five hours to complete. One difference about this game is the lack of returns to the same room - each main room has three smaller rooms to explore, and you never go back to the same scene to find more objects. I expected a longer game considering the size of the download, but a lot of that turned out to be animation. What I liked: - There's no time limit - The hidden objects aren't *too* difficult to find, but they take a bit of searching. - The storyline is well-written - it's funny, a bit sad, and charming in places. - The riddles are fun and relatively easy to solve. - The penalty for too many mis-clicks is rather high ::g:: (you'll see what I mean). - In addition to the usual objects and mini-games, there are some 'minor' ghosts to be captured, and they have some fun stories behind them. What I didn't like: - The mini-games are mostly hand-eye coordination/speed games, and I'm no good at those, but after an initial try, you can skip them. - Some objects are difficult to find because the graphics are a bit *too* cartoonish. - I expected some sort of interactive play at the end, but the characters wrap it up without any help. Overall, this game is a little different from the usual HOG formula, and I'd recommend it to anyone looking for something new.

I had a great time with this game. The graphics were great and the searches were challenging. I also enjoyed figuring out where the riddles were. It was harder to find where the riddles were than to solve them but still fun. I had hours of fun! Would definitely recommend!

I have no idea how this game is selling for $3.49, but it is a complete steal. The amount of fun and entertainment that is stuffed into this amazingly tight package is very high. The graphics in this game are of a much, much higher quality than any others like it and the attention to detail is almost limitless. Every scene, character, and visual aspect (right down to the Main Menu) are expertly crafted and woven into what is going on in the game. Not sure if anyone that ever worked with Tim Burton is a developer on this game, but I wouldn't be surprised since it delivers much of the same visual insanity (and this is a good thing)so often found in his films. The story and concepts, although presented in a very innocent and kooky vain, are actually quite involved, complex, and downright interesting. In addition to the commonplace HOG scenes, the game also presents several different "mini-games" to play. These "Minis" are anything but, and some are fun enough to be considered games in themselves. A trophy system is in place to encourage you to go back and "go for the gold." Finally, as a musician, I usually can't stand the music in games like this. However, Mishap's soundtrack is as varied and well-done as the rest of the game. Every song is themed to the level you play in and fit in wonderfully. I would even consider buying a soundtrack of it. This game is a fun and unique game that has something for everyone and at $3.50... there is simply nothing offering this much value.
