This is the new official Siddur of Reform Judaism. The book is extremely well laid-out and user friendly. As an over-55 user I find the font size a bit small but still readable. There is a large-print edition also.
The leaders of the Reform Movement have made a collective decision that the original leaders went WAY too liberal in their reforms and largely "threw the baby out with the bathwater". Over the past few years there has been an on-going concerted effort to bring the entire Movement to a much more conservative position, both theologically and ritually, including reintroduction of substantial use of Hebrew in Reform services. The new Siddur is written from this perspective. Large parts of the book follow one of two patterns. Each two-page set deals with a "matter/subject" and there is a light blue page border. If the border is a box with rounded edges the two pages are considered one "item", e.g., the words of L'cha Dodi take up two pages. On the other hand, if there are straight blue lines at the top and bottom of the page the two pages contain four "items", from which the leader chooses one. The upper right hand corner will contain fully-punctuated Hebrew text on the right and a transliteration on the left (deliberately laid out that way so no one can tell whether you are reading the Hebrew or the transliteration). Below that is a good English fairly literal translation. On the left facing page there are two somewhat freer interpretations. I don't know why Amazon shows it as "out of print", since it is used in Reform temples throughout the U.S. It should be available directly from the publisher.

This is a satisfying and enjoyable Reform prayer book because there are many choices of readings, gender neutral language, and close translations of the Hebrew prayers. For those who don't know Hebrew, the transliterations are parallel to the Hebrew text, so it is easy to follow and participate in the service.

By This book is a beautifully written addition to the Jewish devotional experience. The Hebrew, transliteration.and english are presented in a way that makes a useful and pleasing whole.
