5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing Breakthrough CD
I saw these guys perform live , by accident, almost a year ago (I really wanted to see the other group, soul farm). I immediately fell in love with the group and purchased all of their old CDs. This one, is by far, their best. I purchased it last week and haven't been able to stop listening since then. I think it will be their breakout. They really do sound like a...

Israel's CD shops boast more local content than countries several times its size, and the music is often beautiful and exciting, combining western and eastern influences with serious poetry about life in the line of fire. Only the Hebrew language prevents Israeli artists from finding wider success, and these talented lads from a village outside Jerusalem have decided to...

They really do sound like a cross between Pearl Jam , Bob Dylan and U2. Enjoy.

Truly a unique sound, you'll get hooked the second you hear the first song. It's incredible! I recommend this to everyone looking for good, pure original music.

If you love Israel you will love this CD. ALL of the songs are great - very creative - I dance, I cry - I laugh - just brilliant. My 22 year old daughter also loves the CD! Our only wish is that Moshav would perform in concert in the U.S.

I've been listening to Moshav band for a few of years and LOVE them. I was fortunate enough to see them live at "The Lab" in Jerusalem this past October when they played to a sold out crowd at Sukkot - it was one of the best shows I've ever been to. "Misplaced" contains some of their best songs: Closer, The Only One, Abba Shimon... check out their concert videos on YouTube! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RgL1ar6nwOA.

Moshav has perfected their style with this album. They blend the spiritual with a strong secular beat and mix it with a Middle Eastern undercurrent. It is Jewish rock at its best, but really, Misplaced is a great album for anyone.

4.0 out of 5 stars great sounds, November 7, 2007

We're big fans of the Moshav Band and very much enjoy listeningto this album. Would have preferred more shlomo niggunim, but understand at the same that they have their own music to share with the world!

I heard this group perform live at the California World Music Festival and had to have their music. This CD is one that has captivated me for several days now. A great mix of rock, traditional and alternative sounds. I love it!

5.0 out of 5 stars Did you see them on TV?, September 25, 2006

Moshav was on the Chabad telethon earlier this month. They put them on 3x... I am guessing that they kept getting calls from fans wanting (and donating for) more.

I agree with the other reviewer... that if you listen to the first track...or if you ever see them perform live...you will be a fan.

Israel's CD shops boast more local content than countries several times its size, and the music is often beautiful and exciting, combining western and eastern influences with serious poetry about life in the line of fire. Only the Hebrew language prevents Israeli artists from finding wider success, and these talented lads from a village outside Jerusalem have decided to embrace both English and straight American rock. The result is a slickly professional, easily accessible CD of completely undistinguished rock wallpaper whose best track is a pale version of a Tom Waits song. Pick any Waits CDs at random: it will be more fun.
