5.0 out of 5 stars Greatest little invention!!!
I saw the Miss Army Knife in the January issue of Cosmo magazine. The minute I saw it, it grabbed my attention. The bright pink color (don't worry, it comes in other colors as well) and all the little gadgets it included caught my eye right away. Even my boyfriend and his friends were impressed with this gizmo. Sure it has a knife, bottle opener, corkscrew and scissors...

2.0 out of 5 stars Don't Drop It or Use It as a Keychain
The Good:

It has a mirror and a flashlight. I particularly like the flashlight.

It has handy gadgets such as tweezers (splinters), compartments (for Advil), and scissors.

The Bad:
It is fragile! I used the Miss Army Kit as a key chain and dropped it. The mirror popped off. It was a 2-foot-drop not the Sears tower...

It was a 2-foot-drop not the Sears tower!

My car key (the only key I used for the kit) broke off the ring all the time.

The pen slipped out of the compartment and gone forever. The company doesn't offer replacement tools.

Conclusion:

Cute idea, but you are better off buying a Swiss Army Knife (which I did). No mirror though.

Even my boyfriend and his friends were impressed with this gizmo. Sure it has a knife, bottle opener, corkscrew and scissors just like any of their tools, but it also contains a pair of tweezers, a pen, a flashlight, pill box, sewing kit for all those little emergencies, and (this is what really got me) a mirror AND perfume vial! It is small enough to fit on a keychain or in a purse or desk drawer. I love this item and am about to order one for a friend because I know once she sees mine, she will want one for herself!

I'm backpacking the europe for several months so need something just like Miss Army Kit. The minute I saw it I knew I had to have it. I love all the details and think it is one of the greatest invention for women travelers. However, the plastic part where the mirror and the pillbox were already fell apart after a week. My recommnedation is that DO NOT USE THIS AS A KEYCHAIN, IT WILL BREAK. Otherwise, cute and smart kit to have. oh, one more thing, the perfume bottle doesn't really hold any perfume.

4.0 out of 5 stars Works for me, December 15, 2006

After seeing the other reviews, I realize that how much you like this nifty gadget depends on how you use it.

I don't use it as a key chain because it is too heavy (any knife like this would be too heavy). Victorinox does make a very little one with a small blade, scissors, tweezer and toothpick or pen that is small enough to use as a key chain.

I don't use it for hiking or camping. If you need something like this that you plan to use a lot go with the real thing.

I love the scissors, cork-screw, tweezers and pen (standard contents of many Swiss Army type knives). I also love the light, the mirror and the compartment (not standard Swiss Army issue). I like having the other things in case I need them and I keep it in my purse.

The only problem that I have is that the blades etc. are stiff and a little hard to pull out. Oh . . . and I forgot that it was in my purse when I went on a business trip recently, so it was taken away by TSA.

However, I was able to keep the pen and tweezers (so I have extras) and I am going to order another one.

3.0 out of 5 stars Miss Army Knife Kit, June 26, 2009

I liked this item. It was a little larger than I expected but it has so many features it's worth it. The reason I rated it 3 stars is that the pen does not work on mine and I was unable to find a replacement for it anywhere without sending the knife back.

1.0 out of 5 stars Sexist much?, November 21, 2007
This review is from: Miss Army Kit (Misc.)
Is it just me that finds this "tool" a bit offensive? Why is it assumed that a woman cannot wield a screw driver or a wire stripper? Why is it assumed that a man will never need a needle and thread? I'm disappointed that we are still gender stereotyping with products. For the record, I need the implements on both the male and female multipurpose tools. When is someone going to make that?? Sigh.
