Book Description

May 14, 2002
Why mix the same old vodka tonic when you can try a Stubborn Moscow Mule? Have some vodka with ginger beer and a dash of lime juice—just the thing for an extra kick. Tired of bourbon and soda? Then spice up your Jack Daniel’s with a half jig of Yukon Jack, a little root beer schnapps, and some cola, and slam down a Jackhammer! When you’ve had enough of the trendy Cosmopolitan, shake things up a bit with an Agent Orange—this concoction of mandarin-flavored vodka, Grand Marnier, Cointreau, and orange juice is sure to put you on guard. With more than 200 recipes for out-of-the-ordinary and out-of-this-world beverages, Miss Charming’s Book of Crazy Cocktails is a one-way ticket to your own private Margaritaville, offering such creative concoctions as:

* Bumblebee Stinger: one of Miss Charming’s Amazing Critter Cocktails that will surely create a buzz
* Disco Ball Inferno: a tempting shot that pops and rocks (Pop Rocks not optional)
* Scarlett O’Hara: a little comfort for that Southern belle in all of us
* Midsummer Night’s Dream: what could be better on a sultry summer evening?

If you’re ready to ditch Daddy’s martinis and Mommy’s Manhattans for something a little more interesting, or you want to make your next shindig one that everyone will remember, Miss Charming’s Book of Crazy Cocktails is sure to pay the tab—and serve up a pitcherful of fun to boot.

4.0 out of 5 stars Miss Charming Does it Again!, May 21, 2002

Cheryl has a creative, as well as an obvious mischievous soul. First she mentally entertained us with her "Book Of Bar Amusements", and now she provides us with some liquid entertainment in order to lull us into complacency.

With such unique and individually named drinks as "Who Let The Salty Dogs Out", "Butter Me Up Scotty", and "Somewhere Over The Rainbow", you know that things are going to get interesting. She breaks her drink recipes not by style, but by overall concepts involved with their names, with such categories as "Amazing Critter Cocktails" (Flying Pink Squirrel), "Famous Picture Show Cocktails" (Thunderball Rum Collins), and "Totally Cool College Cocktails And Shooters" (Husky Rooter Shooter). Even her approach to describing the recipes as well as the instructions for making (and drinking) these concoctions lets you know that Cheryl enjoys having fun with us on many different levels.

5.0 out of 5 stars If you're HIP, you gotta have this party book!!, July 4, 2002

If you're throwing a party and want it to be unique, the drinks and presentation in this book will take you there!!

There's something for everyone.....like "How Now Brown Cow" to "Buttery Pierced Nipple".

And for the COLLEGE CROWD...you really need to check out the Totally Cool College Cocktail and Shooters section......your college colors in a refreshing drink may be there. But most of all, it is actually interesting reading to imagine what the mixes will taste like and to pick up some cool bar lingo along the way.

My friends always grab the book and read it while I'm trying to mix a drink because of its fun entertainment level.
So if you want a unique, interesting Restoration Hardware/IKEA/Martha Stewart with an edge type of bar book.......this is it.
